Does anyone think Marg's may've NOT used Wraps in Cotto 1?

i think he did.

but i also think he would have knocked Cotto out either way.

 

Couple of reasons

1) Cotto switched up his game plan and fought a little smarter

2) Cotto insisted on Everlast Gloves, Not Reyes and the rematch was at Jr Middle meaning 10 ounce gloves where used.. He also insisted on a catch weight

3) Margarito had a bad eye that Cotto could focus on ......

4) Kizer clears margarito of any wrong doing in that fight source below.

if he used Plaster in that fight why were there no reports of Broken ribs did you see how hard Margarito was landing to the body? not a single broken rib....

I honestly have no idea, whenever I watch that fight I just think about whether or not he had bricks in the gloves. Truth is we will never know, we can only guess.

 

I can't believe people haven't acknowledged this poor guy has been shafted out of boxing unfairly.
He was set up by the trainer and GBP so Shane could have an Indian Summer and the way an iron-chinned warrior has been driven out of the sport in disgrace is one of the worst miscarriages of justice since poor OJ was railroaded.

In California (Mosley fight), you bring your own gauze. In Nevada (Cotto fight), you are supplied Gauze and theres people there watching the whole time.

Except he got caught in his next fight trying to and all of a sudden his gameplan doesn't work anymore for the rest of his career.

Why would he use loaded wraps against someone he was supposed to beat up (Mosley was regarded as the clear underdog and someone at the end of his career) and yet not use them against an undefeated, prime fighter who was regarded as dangerous and a real test? The state of Cotto's face after that fight doesn't help matters.

I don't know whether he used it or not -- it's impossible to say one way or the other now. I do think the circumstances make him look very suspicious though.
