Does anyone think Murray stands a chance against Katsidis?

Katsidis wins again by KO. Murray just like Mitchell has not faced a level of opposition to prepare him for world class.

No. Murray would be outclassed and hurt. Probably not as early as Mitchell but it would most definitely come and would probably be more brutal.

Murray could be too strong for his own good in this fight

 

I am a Murray fan, I reckon this could be a potential fight of the year. A war, both men would be hurt, but I think Katsidis would probably win it with a late stoppage.

One thing you can be assured of is Murray would make sure he prepares properly and makes a good account of himself, unlike Mitchell.

His last 5 fights have been won by stoppage, in the 5th, 8th, 6th, 4th and 11th round. So I don't think you can use that as a reason for his inactivity.

Everyone knows what, or who, is to blame for his inactivity.

When are people going to realise; level of opposition is far more important than WBC Internation/Interim/Intercontinental straps.

Murray won the Euro strap against a domestic level opponent.

Romanov (wherever he is) would be favourite against Murray IMO, let alone Katsidis.

 

He was using it as an example for why Murray doesn't have a punchers chance? Rather than as a reason for inactivity.

I don't think it's a problem on this forum, most people that picked Mitchell did so on the simple fact that there must have been some reason for Warren bringing Katsidis over.

It's a problem with promoters - keep the 0 until securing a mandatory position.... then win or lose - usually lose for reasons highlighted above.

I agree with you that half the people who went for Mitchell went for him because of Katsidis history of cuts/seeming lack of defence/him being on the wane (apparently) The other half went for him because 'MITCHel Is BANGIN MATWE! He aint lost yet'
