Does anyone think that Pacquiao has a shot against De la hoya?

realistically ive never really thought about how this fight will turn out. right now ill say that its damn near impossible to really tell because of the weight difference.

first thing that i guess is that Oscar is gonna knock the **** out of Pac, easy. thats what should happen since Oscar is so much (naturally)bigger than Pac.

    now for my second take.

Pacquiao has a chance. some people could imagine this fight looking like Cotto/Margo with Pac landing the cleaner shots and Oscar effectively putting pressure. thing is, thats not Delahoyas style at all, never was, just remember at how tense Oscar looked when he tried to pressure Mayweather, he's a natural boxer.

i can see Pac winning by decision. thats if he can take whatever shots Oscar lands on him. if he does that, his speed will allow him to land the cleaner shots and outnumber Oscars, thus win most of the rounds.

above all of that, Pac has very good stamina while Oscar is known by everyone pretty much to tire in the second half of a fight.

to me its def conceivable to think that Pac has a shot at beating Oscar. still, it could be the fact that im high right now why i think that too though. :smoke

The only chance Pacquiao has is to box and run. He cant stand and trade with de la hoya. I dont see it happening though because De la hoya has the better jab and he has the reach. I see Pacquiao losing the fight either way. :smoke

Pacquiao has a snowballs chance in hell. He doesnt have the power to hurt Oscar, his speed is gonna be diminished, he is going to be getting mauled by a much bigger and physically stronger fighter who is still an excellent boxer.

Frankly he is just ****ed through and through

Pac's strategy should be to stay the hell away from DLH's left hook or atleast not get hit too much throughout the first 6 rounds. If he can do that, then there's a chance that Hoya might tire after 6 rounds, and thats where Pac should go to work.

Its pretty much unlikely I know. But if Pac somehow manages to stay in the fight after 6 rounds, then he has a chance. Even a draw would be more than enough.

The only way pac wins this one is if Teddy Atlas and Amsterdam picks Dela Hoya... :D

If it happens pac definitely has a shot! :happy

Hatton vs. Pacquiao is a more fair fight imo.

He doesn't have a shot imo. If Oscar doesn't knock him out...well, let's just say that it's a good thing that will be his retirement fight.

I agree with others too...to me, Hatton v Pac is way more exciting. I'm just not looking forward to this one, it doesn't feel right.
