Does anyone think that Pacquiao has a shot against De la hoya?

nah hes overrated because people are saying hell beat oscar and hatton.. even Freddy roach said it.

Hes not overrated in superfeatherweight and below, but hes overrated since he beat diaz, i dont see him as the no1 lightweight - who has he beat?? and dont see him beatin hatton

    So he is overrated

Trust me, Pacquiao's straight left wont do anything to De la hoya. He got hit by Mosley, Hopkins, and Mayweather's shots. He took them well and I doubt Pacquiao's power can do anything to him.

good thing you cleared this up buddy. with this expalanation, yes he is definitely overrated now. i just can't believe how many people are now picking pac over hatton if they fight at present. the diaz fight is not exactly a good gauge if he ever fights at 140 and 147.

i find it hard for pac to be effective with his left straight when oscar is jabbing him with that longer reach of his. Oscar can even win this by just jabbing all night. Seriously... i can see that happening because of the huge disparity in reach and height.

the way oscar used his jab during the early to middle rounds against floyd would certainly trouble pac. it's reach alone would be sufficient to back pacquaio up into the ropes never mind the power. pacquiao could only counter this with a good side-to-side movements and creating shots at different angles and openings. he must use his quickness to evade these shots but i'm afraid that some would eventally connect and this would be pac's downfall. oscar ko pac and pac would eventually return to 135 or much better retire.

that's one thing i'm worried about... pac might not want to go back in the lightweight division after this fight and instead he will opt to fight hatton and get the same amount of money he'll get from his fight with oscar and then retire after that. :-(

i guess if pac puts up a valiant fight against oscar and loses via a close decision, people would still be impressed with pac just because he managed to make a close fight against the much bigger and still a good ATG fighter in oscar. with this scenario, a hatton fight is still very possible.

now if pac loses via a brutal beating and KO, a hatton fight would be lost but pac still has an option to return at 135. now, this is the sad part. after a brutal beating from de la hoya, we are not sure if this would still be the same pac that we know now. a match against old but still much fresher or younger fighters like guzman or juan diaz would spell doom for pacquiao.
