The main objective of this match up more than anything is to get money out of this fight and not focusing on the obvious mismatch. Imagine a bloated Pac without power or speed moving up in weight, DLH will win obviously without a doubt. Though there has reasons on each fighter taking this fight, for Pac of course, a chance for a huge payday even if he lose. And for Oscar, by showing an impressive farewell fight to a presently known and hot fighter, in the name of Pacquiao. Overall the idea still sucks, but what critics could possibly do if it can pull an audience.

i do. Definately think Pacquiao has a shot at winning a close decision even though I think ODLH will win it for obvious reasons in a fight that'll be closer than people expect

Wow, the Oscarsexuality on these boards is thick, like the massive cottage cheese thighs of a 476 pound woman.

Anyway, Manny PAc has a few advantages in this fight, that no one seems to want to deal with, because they are too busy comparing Oscar to Ray Robinson.

    1. Speed. Of hand and of foot. Oscar is used to being the faster fighter in the ring. Not this time. Manny Pac is deceptively and ridiculously fast. Stevie Forbes was about as tall and the same reach as Manny, and was able to **** up Oscar's face pretty good, and last 12 rounds. This speaks volumes.

    2. Youth. Oscar, and I have been saying this for quite a while, is no longer in his prime. He primed between 96 and 97. It is nearly 2009 by Fightnight. 13 years later, he simply isnt the juggernaut he was against Chavez and Pernel. Manny Pac is priming out now. So we have a past his prime old fighter against a young guy coming into his prime.

    3. Stamina. Manny Pac is the King of all Stamina Fighters. He doesnt tire, and seems to get stronger and faster as we near the 12th. Oscar on the other hand, has had stamina issues since 1999. He, at this point is basically a 7 round fighter, because 8-12, he is struggling in there.

    4. Freddie Roach. This is an insider who is worth his weight in gold to Manny Pac. Roach knows what time Oscar needs to take a **** every morning and what shape the feces is going to come out. Roach knows what punches Oscar is susceptible to, and what Oscar is going to do, before he does it. He knows his strengths and his weaknesses.

That being said, Oscar has height and reach, and a little bit of a power advantage. This to me, means little, as Oscar had all these advatages over Forbes and PBF and it didnt do his Golden Ass a bit of good. :bart :deal :hi:

pac has an excellent chance of winning if he can avoid being knocked out. While DLH is capable of knocking Pac out I haven't seen that "hunger" from him for a while though so I'd put the odds of a DLH knockout at 50%, but the odds of DLH winning by decision at 25%.

So 63% DLH to 37% Pac. The advantage goes to DLH but Pac has a chance.

Well, I might be in the minority here & people may think I talking ****, but I actually think Pacquaio wins. Listen, I watched De La Hoya-Forbes, & Oscar was not impressive. Whether he was lacking motivation or not is not for me to say.

Make no mistake about it, if the fight happens, Pacquiao will not need any help in getting himself motivated. None whatsoever! Manny is in his prime right now whereas Oscar's time has passed.

Speed kills & I truly feel De La Hoya will not be able to consistantly cope with Manny's speed. As long as Pacquaio doesn;t get wild or reckless, I think he'll win.

If Manny were to win, I'll be having a little flutter at the bookies on Pacquiao-Mayweather happening in 2009!

I have a better question than "pac have a chance against DLH"

Does anyone care? This is nothing but a big payday for DHL. I think DHL is boring now and he is looking to fight for MONEY not for belts or pride

Since DLH seems to choke in big time fights sure Pacquiao has a chance. I am not sure if this fight will be made though.

Floyd Jr. is going to bore soon of ****ing all the hottie strippers of Vegas, and living the video "In the Club" by 50 Cent, and will want to come back and reclaim his throne next year.

Yes, ODLH wasn't really impressive with his win against steve forbes but remember ODHL is much much bigger than Pac.

We all know Pac has the power but ODLH abilility to absorb the punches is much better than all the other fighters that pac met!

Don't get me wrong! I want Pac to win but with ODLH being to big for him I don't see Pac winning. If Pac wins that is defenitely UPSET of the DECADE!!!

I think Pacquiao has a chance.. As some points stated above, Oscar does have a height and weight advantage and a little more power, but Pac also has the stamina, the speed, and the footwork.. If Pac goes in with a smart gameplan and can execute it, he can win a decision.. I say he should use his footwork as he did in the Diaz fight to move around DLH as DLH isn't the best fighting those who don't stand in front of him.. Pac should throw less punches in the early rounds, thus retaining his stamina for the later rounds as he is moving up two divisions.. If he can tire DLH and make him miss early, then Pac can step it up in the mid to late rounds and grab a decision.. He just can't get hit with a lot of big power shots..

im not talking about power here... im talking about manny's activity, such as throwing many punches that wont knockdown oscar but win some rounds and also stamina plays a big role in the later rounds...

Yes, Manny has an outside chance.
