To Miranda, when he beat him, was like what Calzaghe did to Lacy?? As in mess him up mentally?? this may be why Abraham did so much better ????

Its a possibility.......that or Arthur has increased his power and fast twitch muscle development. I always thought Miranda has a strong chin, it looks like its been softened up a bit.

I don't know how much Pavlik affected him but i think it just comes down to the fact that Abraham is the better fighter with superior boxing skills. That's why he beat Miranda.

Anything to take away from Abrahams victory. Arthur beat Miranda up better than Pavlik and the Kelly'ites can't handle it.

I don't see how that can be the case, Abraham beat him first and landed some heavy shots. Green and Eastman dropped and hurt him. This is before Pavlik even started

It showed his chin was never completely solid, and it also shows Pavlik is not a one punch KO artist in comparison to Abraham, or in general, since it took a lot of shots for him to finish Miranda

But at the same time, Miranda took a more brutal overall beating from Pavlik. I guess this also shows that Pavlik is more of a accumulation puncher while Abraham has one punch KO power. Pavlik has heavy hands, it's just not as devastating as Abraham's. I think Miranda would rather take Abraham's beating over Pavlik's any day.

Against Pavlik, Miranda was always going backwards because Pavlik would not let up. Against Abraham, Miranda came forward but he got caught because he has no defense. Miranda got more dominated against Pavlik IMO.

Miranda looked very good in there, didn't notice anything that would suggest he's "ruined". Miranda always had chin issues and some of you need to watch more of his fights to realize that. Eastman hurt him BAD, Green dropped him, Abraham hurt him numerous times in the first fight even with a broken jaw and before it, Pavlik knocked him out and now Abraham knocks him out.

Pavlik is not a one-punch knockout puncher. He lands heavy, powerful, damaging shots.

I thought Pavlik and Abraham both beat Miranda equally convincingly

What beat Miranda is poor boxing skills, and his ****ing ego to go with it, its one thing to have a good set of skills and an ego to go with it but when you just have an ego and nothing to back it up youll find yourself in trouble when you step up.
Mirandas biggest win is over Howard Eastman lets not act as if he was even A level he is more of a C+ level fighter or B- which ever you like to call it.

I don't think he's trying to take anything away from Abraham. It's a question I've thought about too. You could go all the way through history and find fighters who, once they got it beat out of them, never returned to how they once were. Jeff Lacy is a really example. He'll never be the same fighter as he was because of the manner of his defeat. Meldrick Taylor, too. Once he lost he wasn't the same fighter physically or mentally. Even in victory a fight can change a fighter, as we saw with Joe Frazier.
No, he didn't. Pavlik put on a one-sided assault. He won every round and seriously hurt Miranda's body and mind. He beat him physically and mentally. Before the stoppage, Miranda had won two rounds and was in control landing the much better punches. He just got caught and ended up getting stopped by a geat puncher.

It wasn't as quick or aesthetically pleasing, but Pavlik put a bigger beating on Miranda than Abraham did.

Actually Jeff Lacy will never be the same because of his shoulder surgery, not because of his defeat at the hands of Calzaghe.

Miranda showed he was back in top form by knocking out Banks and such, which is pretty much the form he was in before fighting Pavlik
