Its not Yoga. Its asana's marketed as Yoga, because to our little western minds, it's mysterious and exotic. Asanas, simply the stretching, poses and planks. Any ****** can focus and meditate. Its pretentious is all I'm saying. My yamaka example works fine for what I'm trying to explain. Just like in martial arts there is a whole lot of bull**** in particular styles that work for **** all, while certain aspects of those styles are extremely effective.. In MMA we use what is practical, and now proven to work via trials and tribulations. You wouldn't show someone how to do an armbar, and then call them a Gracie desciple, would you?
The short answer would be "no". I am not versed in Yoga so your meaning escaped me a bit - but this explanation helps. Grassy ass!
