The ending was too controversial to leave as is. 3 of the 4 rounds were somewhat close so i'd be curious to see what could have happened.
Floyd gave Castillo a rematch due to all the controversy in their first fight.

The only reason Floyd gave Castillo a rematch is so he could prove to others that he could beat him easily.

Floyd should give him a rematch, but it won't happen because the controversy the first fight caused will cause it to lose its appeal.

    On the contrary, controversy sells.

Ortiz is about as popular as Kermit Cintron now.

Floyd gave Castillo a rematch because he wasn't satisfied with his performance, and probably because a large group of people scored that fight in the Mexican's favour. No such thing here. I thought Floyd was in complete control of proceedings, and Ortiz almost certainly felt the same way else he'd have had no reason to start throwing headbutts.

With that said, I wouldn't be surprised to see a rematch. Easy money for Mayweather. He knows it too.

Been sayin this since the fight. ONLY if its free, and it comes up soon. Otherwise it's a waste of Floyd's time (in our interests).

Then he must be bugged by all the criticism about ending the fight with a cheap suckerpunch.

IMO Castillo did worse than Ortiz in the first 4 rounds and look how that turned out.

he should this dude from england, kell brook or why not berto rematch, this first one was great, why should the second be any different.

but mayweather showed he simply is superior, ortiz tried everything, punching with all he got and landed only 26 or so punches, thats simply not enough, floyd was better man and would be in a rematch.

    Several differences.

    1. Castillo was a better fighter than Victor Ortiz.
    2. Castillo was twice as tough as Victor Ortiz.
    3. Castillo never resorted to illegal headbutts hence why his fight with Floyd lasted longer than 4 rounds.
    4. Ortiz is known as a fast starter. Castillo was not known as a fast starter.
    5. Ortiz shouldn't be getting beaten up like this.
    6. Ortiz is now a tree, and as we all know, a tree has never won a Boxing match in the entire history of the Universe.
