Stronger to keep from breaking but would it actually change the head from rotating and snapping in the opposite direction? I seriously doubt that. I may be wrong, of course. But I don't see how it would.

Since the jaw is multiple parts, it's usually the lower portion that will contort the most. The further it rotates, the more likely it is that the switch will be tripped. The plates work together to prevent violent separation of the jaw during impact...:bbb

Why do you keep putting ":bbb" when replying to me? I'm not fighting with you. I'm just discussing. :!:

No fighting, I usually use it cause i like it . To me it's simply "point & counterpoint" like punch and counterpunch. No offense met. I'm not like that unless I'm attacked. My bad. Have a nice evening and keep typing dude. I'm having fun...:good (How's that?):hi:

it does not help...I had a buddy get knocked cold and he had to get a plate where his cheek bone shattered...If he gets hit their again that plate is gonna smash right up against his bone if he got hit there

We wouldn't know. But what he did to earn that steel in his jaw makes me think he deserves to have it.

I know, but it sounded like it was a joke under the assumption that we thought there was a conspiracy. I didn't want you to think I was wearing a tin foil hat. I don't know you but in that moment, I felt it was important for you not to think that.

cheek and chin / jaw, not the same. A titanium re-enforced jaw is a jaw that has healed natures way and been enhanced with multiple plates and screws. In the case of a cheek, if the supportive structure is weakened from the original injury, it will crumble not the plate. The jawbone is significantly thicker than a cheek bone however. :bbb

If ever, i think its more of a disadvantage. Having a trauma after breaking your jaw in a boxing match, and coming back again knowing your opponent is aiming to break it again...it sure takes a lot mentally to recover from that.

Perhaps, but should he be allowed to continue to compete with it. Why not have them removed if they mean "nothing"? Because if they're taken out, there is a higher chance of his jaw getting broke again. HCP athletes who compete with non HCP athletes must do so without assistance (artificial limbs etc...). Why not DQ athletes who've been surgically enhanced? Bottom line, if Casey Martin couldn't use a golf cart to compete in the PGA (he finally won the right but was too weak to continue play @ that level), then why allow this? This area of the body is vital to a boxing career...:bbb
