Bob Arum's Mayweather-Pacquiao dream includes investors, but not Oscar De La Hoya

"If a deal is done like this, there will be some people left out," Arum said. "The investor would have the authority to determine who they want on the ground, taking care of their business."

This is Arum firing a warning shot directly over the bow of Golden Boy Promotions, its president De La Hoya, CEO Richard Schaefer, and maybe even MayweatherÂ’s inner-circle advisers Al Haymon and Leonard Ellerbe:

Why does GBP need to be invovled in the first place? If Floyd contractually obligated to fight under their banner? Is DLH his boss afterall?

If Floyd is the savvy business man you guys like to think he is, there's no need for GBP to even be involved.

Investors aren't needed unless They plan on giving the fighters some absurd purse amount.

There is no way GBP wont be in on this fight. Floyd used Schaefer for a reason and just cos Arum doesnt want them involved it isnt going to happen.

From what Ive read so far Arum n Pac seem to believe they have something going but I haven't heard anything from Mayweather that remotely gives any validity to their claims. I'm trying to stay positive so that we can get it over with but I am doubtful. I'd rather see Floyd take a real challenge n fight Sergio before he gets too old but I have no faith Floyd really wants to take that risk.
