Remember when a broken handed Joe Calzaghe destroyed a jacked up Jeff Lacy and took his 0 and soul? The best don't need the gear, they just find a way, that's why they're the best and that's why Nigel Benn needed the gear. I don't believe that everyone is on it but I'd be surprised if, once getting to a certain level where it gets tougher, many aren't on something.

I think some people need their heads tested.

Not magic, as you still have to grind, but the edge PEDS give can't be denied.

I didn't like McClellan, he did awful things to dogs, but Benn was on something that night and it was a night that changed a family's life, for the considerable worst, forever. Yes Benn was tough but he was definitely aided by what he had in his system whereas just looking at McClellan you can tell that he wasn't juiced to the gills. The fact that Nigel is unable to accept that his son has been at it when it seems crazy that he wouldn't know says a lot about the man. Yes he's your son but it doesn't matter, Eubank Jnr is someone's son, so is McClellan etc.

Benn is a man of very questionable character and I believe there was good reason behind him going to Australia and becoming a minister. Not a chance he didn't know his son was on the gear.

Never got the Benn hero worship. Brilliant fighter but a thug.

Yeah, that's all it was, sheer British spirit. Come on man, look at the state of Benn back then, he was an absolute fruitcake.

How CB testing positive for clomid in September 2022 has people believe NIGEL Benn was on steroids 30-40 years prior is completely baffling. Worrying, even.

I's nothing to do with Connor, these accusations have always been around. McLellan's trainer accused him and he also 'collapsed' after the fight on the way to do his post fight drug test, not totally unbelievable however given the ferocity of fight. There are other explanations for his exceptional stamina and determination, he was ex-army so would have had very good cardio, especially as infantry in the 80's. Since all claims are totally baseless or from individuals on the receiving end it's wrong to come to any other conclusion that he was a clean athlete.

Oh yeah the boot with the blood on, 20 years later. The boot that was actually in Frank Warren’s office in a cupboard!

That guy is an absolute clown. You could see that from the inept corner work on the night.

Benn ran 15 miles up Mount Teide in high altitude with weights on his wrists and ankles, every day in camp; having built it up from 4 miles to peak fitness. In fact Benn was the originator of the boxing training camp; prior to that fighters simply trained all year round at their local gym.
