I am stunned that anyone could watch Nog-Sapp and not consider it one of Nog's best performances, and a defining fight in his career.

You are delusionial. You know he would've beaten Fedor? Dethrone Sylvia?

1st the Sylvia thing. Sylvia was the UFC champ, not the heavyweight champ of MMA :deal While Couture and Sylvia were fighting for supremacy, there were at least 4 or 5 heavyweights outside of UFC who would've whooped both oftheir asses.

2nd the argument, wait no the factual statement, that Couture would've beaten Fedor :patsch:lol: Did you watch how Nog beat and out-grappled Couture? Did you see how Liddel ktfo Couture? Combine those two fights and you will see a Fedor Destruction of Couture in about 2 minutes time. :deal

3rd Don't be stupid, it's no secret that CroCop was never the same in the UFC (probably due to the drug testing). Gonzage beat him, was then overrated because of it which made Coutures victory over him all that better. But it wasn't.

Couture was lucky he couldnt secure the fight with Fedor. Because he wouldn't gotten his ass kicked. He has NOTHING to threaten Fedor with. It's a horrible matchup for him. :deal

I'm rubber and you're glue and what you say bounces off of me and sticks to you.

You know as well as anyone that styles make fights. I believe Couture would have beaten Fedor beacuse of his greco roman style. He would have put him down and pounded him to victory. But we'll never know because Fedor wasn't willing to go as far as Couture did to try to fight him knowing that COuture at that time was the number two heavyweight by virture of the lineage of heavyweight fights tied into Crocop's victory in the Pride Open Weight Grand Prix. Here's a history lesson for you - Crocop planned to win the UFC heavyweight title and go back to Pride and fight Fedor for the Pride title on New Year's Eve. Unfortunately Crocop got crushed in the UFC. Couture proved he was top of that crop at the time and deserved to challenge Fedor. Fedor wasn't will to make it happen so there you go. All he had to do was go to the UFC for the fight. Now we'll never know what would have happened but you're damn right I think COuture would have beaten Fedor. Then I wouldn't have to be here educating you on the nuances of MMA. How's that for delusional.:deal:deal:deal

Long enough to know that a win over a guy in his 3rd pro fight, a guy who has achieved very little in his MMA career, is not close to being as good as wins over the likes of Crocop and Barnett.

Someone who'd only been watching MMA for 1 day would work that one out.

It's not one of his major wins though. Major wins, by my definition, are wins against the best fighters you faced. You can go on for hours discussing how feared Sapp was and how high-profile that win was at the time, but the simple fact is that Sapp was never close to being a Crocop or a Barnett. Next.

Listen to Scura, Sapp was a juggernaut at the time. Third fight doesn't mean anything, Brock was one of the best fighters in the world in his first fight.

Sapp is kind of a Jeff Lacy win to me.

Nah, I disagree with both points. Sapp wasn't a great fighter in his 3rd fight, nor was he ever. And if anyone had realized that Brock had no stand-up and no punch resistance early on, he'd never have gotten to where he did.

Nog-Sapp was a good win, no doubt about it, due to Sapp's size and the incredible resilience shown by Nog, but a major win is a win over a proven top fighter, and it can't even be argued that Sapp was a proven top fighter.
