I dont think Canelo is a good measuring stick for these fantasy fights. Canelo couldnt even beat Trout, Lara and Mayeeather. Bivol would give all 3 beatdowns of a lifetime.

I agree. The fact that Bivol destroyed Canelo means nothing against Gvozdyk, Kovalev and Beterbiev.

If Canelo fought a prime Kovalev then Canelo might actually die. Not kidding. He could potentially die in the ring.

Also Beterbiev is the man at 175. Not Bivol. If Canelo thought Beterbiev was the easier mark he would have fought him.

Canelo is a horrible measuring stick. We’re talking about hard hitting LHW killers, not blown up jr middles

Beterbiev easily beats those other guys including Bivol. Let’s hope we see that fight now.

Prime Kovalev was really great IMO, so I don't think he'd beat him. I think he'd beat Gvozdyk and Beterbiev though.

Bivol could beat the Nail, but Kovalev (with gas tank) and Beterbiev need to be fought. Outboxing them isn't sufficient, especially Beterbiev who starts mauling.

If Bivol beats AB it would be a miracle.

Calling Canelo a Jr MW is like calling 2012 Pacquiao a FW.

Yup. All 4 are top quality operators.

If you were looking at a round robin type tourney where each had to fight the other 3 times, I agree that no one would keep their 0, and it might even be a bit of Rock/Paper & Scissors.

Bivol's excellent defense and distance judging makes him a really hard nut to crack for the others - and he came through the body test with flying colours tonight, which stands him in good stead against a declining Beterbiev.

I think Prime Kov might come out on top, but it would be very small margins - it wasn't until the Ward fight that folks saw any weakness in Kov to the body, although Beterbiev would be the most likely to capatilise on that.

Yeah it would be very hard for any of them to go 3-0 against the rest but to be fair the same applies to any LHWs

And when you have punchers like Kovalev and Beterbiev who both hit freakishly hard everything can change real quick

But on their best night they're all capable of beating the others, especially if the rest aren't quite at their best

I always liked Bivol’s chances against Beterbiev. But there were times last night where he just let Canelo tee off on him behind the high guard. Do that against Beterbiev, you ain’t getting away with a bruised bicep.

Agreed - I don't think Dmitry would do that againts Artur - especially once he realised he could take Canelos shots in the later rounds once they had lost the snap due to Alvarez being exhausted, Bivol actually stayed at mid-range deliberately I think to try and find his own openings. Against AB he would stick to the in / out thing he is so effective at

Prime Kovalev was basically Bivol with 2x more power, LOL.
