When Beterbiev's opponents throw, he trades, and comes out on top.

Bivol doesn't necessarily have to hurt Beterbiev, but he does have to keep him honest.

Defensively, if you can't manipulate angles and range or make your opponent miss in a phone booth, you have to hit hard enough to keep Beterbiev from simply pinning his ears back and rolling over you.

You can also invest in body shots early and often to keep a "search and destroy" guy like Beterbiev defensively responsible, but doing so puts you in the blast radius of his clubbing shots. He's also strong as an ox on the interior, making close quarters combat a real ordeal unless you can match his physicality (most can't).

If AB is what he always has been, I think he ultimately gets to Bivol and stops him late.

I wouldn't be surprised if Beterbiev goes down but not necessarily hurt. Problem is Beterbiev breaks everyone down eventually and Bivol just doesn't look big and durable enough to last all 12. If you put Bivol's skills on a taller, bigger framed man, I think he'd win. I hope I'm wrong because I'm rooting for Bivol.

Yes, he’s not feather fisted and if he lands clean, he absolutely can hurt him.

Look I don`t understand this Madrimov thing, I don`t really want to talk about it, he isn`t world class at all. Bud is an amazing boxer.

Beterbiev sports a KO 100%, has dropped everyone he's fought, and hasn't seen the final bell since his last amateur fight which was against Usyk 12 years ago

Bivol sports a KO 52% and has only registered 1 stoppage loss in the last 6 years and 3 KDs

But Clenelo, Zurdo, Richards and Salamov have never been dropped or stopped

Pascal arguably has the best chin at LHW of his generation, has fought everyone, and has only been stopped x 2, by a prime Kovalev and even then he finished on his feet both times. He's only been dropped a couple of times too

Chilemba has fought everyone and has only been stopped x 2, once in his prime on an arm injury, and once early this year by a big punching top CW who officially outweighed him by 15lbs but it was likely more

Joe Smith has only legit been stopped and dropped by Beterbiev

And all these guys sans Clenelo were bigger or much bigger than Bivol

Bivol hurt the much bigger Zurdo and Smith

Can he hurt Beterbiev? Everyone can be hurt

I thought Bud won the fight, but I must admit that his victory wasn't as easy as I thought it would be. It wasn't a blow out and I thought it was a pretty close fight but the right man won in my opinion.

I agree! He might not have the power to KO him but he can definitely hurt him enough to keep him honest...

    Gonna be a great fight!

Alex is 100% honest here. Good to see him like that
