I read this article on that web sites that keeps pushing for PBF vs. DLH II yawn, and Arum sounds frustrated that Cotto has not signed for a fight in March yet, probably a fight against Margarito is what he has in mind.

He even went as far as to say that they lost the June date at MSG because they have kept him waiting and that Cotto would not fight until April and then again in July.

I thought that Oscar was scheduled to fight in May. Anybody know what is going on here?

It looks like Cotto might get slightly screwed if he can't get DLH to fight him in May. March is already filled up, so if he fights in April, he may not be ready to fight again in June.

How should we know what Bob wan'ts?

Come to think of it, I don't even know what I wan't..

In fact, I'm not even sure what it means to wan't something

But in all seriousness, how could they lose the June date? I thought Cotto like, had the closest weekend to the Puerto Rico Day Parade booked for like, his entire career?? :patsch

I bet he's regretting that if its true.

If the DLH fight falls through then, he will have to settle for a fight with either Clottey or Margarito, that would be a serious let down.

But who would Oscar face in May?

A Mosley rematch might be an option, but then who does the Golden Tranny fight in May Vernon Forrest?

Oscar and Mosley are business partners and their would be a conflict of interest.

Arum wanted Cotto to fight Margarito in the Summer and said that he'll probably take an early fight against Clottey.

I think they should go for a Mosley rematch - since the fight was so close - or just fight DLH.

I just got back from vacation and was told today that Cotto is fighting on PPV in April and that has cost him the June 7 date at MSG.

Top Rank is now holding a June 7 PPV card for Kelly Pavlik-John Duddy.

No idea who Cotto is fighting yet in April, there are still a few names in the mix, but Margarito has to be considered to be at the top of the list.

Also was told that there will be no John Duddy-Matt Vanda on Feb. 23 at MSG. Vanda is out (officially, he was never 'in' but he was the guy they had contacted and had wanted) and the search is on for another opponent for Duddy.

This person knows what is going on, Arum is acting like Pavlik is more important than Cotto.

So Floyd isn't even Cotto's top fight, yet Floyd is still the one ducking Cotto? Even though we have no idea who Floyd wants to fight next?

It looks like Bob Arum and Cotto's Team are not seeing eye to eye on this and his uncle said that he knew nothing about Arums plans, and that he was putting a call in today.

I said Arum would prefer DLH. . .of course, Arum's job is to make the most money for himself and his guy and DLH brings the most money by a long shot.
