Does boxing evolve as it continues making better and better fighters? How far would the current champions Anthony Joshua, Tyson Fury, and Deontay Wilder get running through the champs of 1910, 1920, 1930, 1940, 1950, 1960, 1970, 1980, and 1990?
By "evolution", it's meant that boxing adapts to current rulesets and the times. Not necessarily better or worse That being said the heavyweight division is objectively worse than the likes of Joe Louis and Muhammad Ali, I can watch the film and see that. I don't believe things evolve or devolve in their mistaken positive and negative connotations in boxing, but that talent simply randomly appears, and that talent sometimes has work ethic, maybe it has resources, or sometimes faces other talent. Chance, really. I wonder if this post will turn into the next modern vs classic warzone
Interesting. I'd never considered if boxers improve over time. I'll have to think about this. I wonder why we never talk about this subject.
Better and better fighters??? I take it this is some kind of an attempt at a bad joke. Come on Mark seriously come on already.
Yes, especially making better & better fighters. and they would demolish by landslides against the prehistoric times before, fighters were barely 'upright' for god's sake, never mind limited!
Just a suggestion....let Quora debate this, and if their topics are debate worthy....well, just debate them there! Do you own stock in Quora? You have been ducking this question. Quora sucks!!!??
