I feel the 10-9 must scoreing system is very old fashion and doesn't represent who wins a fight. For example in a 12 round fight, fighter A could win 6 clear rounds against fighter B. The other 6 rounds could be 50/50 rounds and the fight is declared a draw. The scoreing system doesn't produce the correct winners in fights. Why not score rounds 10 - 8 when there clear rounds. And 10-9 or the rounds tht are really close and you could probably give them either way. Then 10 - 7 for a KO round. I believe this would give a more accurate score at the end on who won the fight. Also 5 judges for Championship fights. Also more 10-10 rounds. Why can't you score even rounds!!! THoughts
Well, i happen to disagree with everything here, just from personal preference. The only thing I do agree with though is the 5 judges for championship fights. That would probably be good. I like the scoring system now though. I don't know. :huh
They should add trap doors ala "Austin Powers" movie fame... Under every judges chair IF they blow a decision they PAY.
No. But if judges have been consistent with shitty judging then they need to be removed from their job. But who judges the judges? No one. So it won't change.
Humans are flawed. They do dumb things. This morning I burnt myself with the kettle :roll: Seriously 10-9 is the most simplest option out there. And they cant handle that. Definatly agree about 10-10 rounds. With you 100% there. Out of 45 judges scores for Leonard-Duran 1 I believe there was llike 18 even rounds. Not always a bad thing. A close round when no one deserves the round is more common than people think.
NO, 2 or 3 pot shots don't win rounds, aside from dominating the middle rounds, Bradley's constant work beat Pac, at what used to be his own game
Yes, it's not only flawed (a very close round counts just as much as a clear round) but it also makes it easy to have bad and even crooked scoring. More judges would certainly help, but the 10 point must system is too inaccurate.
:happy thank you finally. Why does everyone think we need to stick to this old fashion 10-9 scoring system. Its not accurate. just scraping by a round earns you a point. COmpletely dominating a round earns you a point too! it doesn't make sence. There must be a differant way of doing it. Like i said, you can win a round by 1/2/3/4 points depending how clearly you won it. It would give a much better representaion of who won a fight.
