Coming forward against a faster, pinpoint accurate counter-puncher while carrying no power of your own is a recipe for an early KO.
Rees elusive? Against who? Kotelik? I think he's great in domestic terms. A lovely bloke with balls of steel bit he's never fought anyone near Broner's standard. I feel for gave tonight and will eat humble pie and be one of the first to congratulate him should the impossible happen. Id love it in fact but have to remain realistic.
If a stoppage does come, I doubt it's as early as many are predicting. I think Rees will make it into the second half of the fight.
Boxrec warrior!!! Just admit it to me. You checked boxrec and saw that both are listed at 5'7" which is completely wrong. ESPN just showed their height yesterday and if you have even seen them standing next to each other you will see the huge height difference.
Rees has heart, but almost no defense, no power, and even tries to copy Calzaghe at times with his hands down. Either Broner completely wins by shutout or stops him in 5. Worse matchup than Broner-Escobedo or DeMarco.
I'm saying the fight goes 6-7 rounds for the reason you mentioned. Rees will put everything he has on the line tonight. I expect a lot of clinching, especially from Rees. But once they start exchanging, Rees is going to get hurt... bad.
I don't know what round, but I definitely think Broner will stop him. I will be surprised if he doesn't.
