Does Brook need to stop Carson jones this time to prove a point?

His last outing was undoubtedly a very poor one on Kell's part, but with his new training & diet regime, should a stoppage be the only thing that Brook can do to prove a point?

If he doesn't impress in the rematch, should Brook forget about fighting anyone at top 5 in the division?

No doubt, Jones is a tough guy, but he's been stopped before and Brook's power has been hyped ("ram rod job" etc) since their first fight, so should we expect something special from Brook this time around?

Brook just needs to get some rounds under his belt and make sure he gets the win. He'll have been out of action for around 9 months by the time the Jones fight rolls around

He needs a big performance that's for sure. A KO would help but I think dominating Jones for the full 12 rounds looking strong in the later rounds would impress me more. Then get himself back in the ring quickly again.

Yup I'd say so. Get a good few rounds in then go for late stoppage.

Brook needs to carry Jones for a few rounds and then drop him at his convenience, that would be impressive. I suspect that we are going to get a nervous Kell Brook though, and he'll make the fight more competitive than it is on paper or needs to be

However he dominates Carson jones it is still going to be Carson jones that he dominated or KOed.

I think he needs to dominate him but Jones is a very tough fighter so if Brook can't finish him off in 10 rounds, I don't think it's much of an issue. If Brook is strong, fit and boxes well without too many scares, then he'll have shown an improvement on his previous performance against Jones and that's all which can be realistically hoped for, I think. If a stoppage does come, great, but I don't expect it to.

Just needs a good, solid performance... not necessarily a KO.....

Would be hilarious if he himself got KO'd though

As much as it pains me to post this. But he himself would admit theirs no chance for him at the top level.

I agree. No point in blowing Mr Jones out in 3 or 4 rounds, it would do nothing for Brook. Jones' stock has dropped since the first fight cause he struggled in that 8 rounder last year against some novice. KO'ing him now, no matter how early, won't impress many because fans are so fickle.

This fight is only a 10 rounder I believe, he should instead focus on dominating him the duration and proving his fitness levels.

He doesn't have to stop him, but it would help if he did.

He at least needs to beat him clearly this time.

He should be winning convincingly if he's really at the level he says he's at, either by stoppage or a wide decision. It's that simple.
