Does Calzaghe deliver punches correctly and look cool when he showboats?

Exactly my thoughts. Its like Norris beating SRL, ODH beating JCC and Berbick beating Ali. These fights mean nothing and I think only JC and Enzo thought it meant anything.

 

Its more disturbing to see all the cheer leaders out in force that actually believe this was/is a worthy contest. The bout made business sense and was a money spinner for both guys. Much the same as Pac vs DLH. In both cases the "real" fans have been cheated.

 

Or Mcbride/Tyson even.

Joe doesn't punch correctly which has been established since 1996. The end result is highly effective though.

 

He delives one-two-hooks, jabs, and those right hands to the body well. I think the reason he is so tricky and hard to beat is that he does/can punch correctly, but he also throws alot of wild/awkward shots which people can't adjust to.

A WBO title, lots of money and a warm place to **** are far more important.

 

Most disturbing of all - that Joe's big stage, and big payday, comes against a man already stopped by Johnson and Tarver. That HBO actally pay him to do this ****.

 

Because Joe is the new shiny suit man. Much like most of the Joe cheer leaders on this board they only join up and post when they have something to cheer about. Other than that there no diffrent to fair weather.

 

The showboating sometimes looks a bit unatural with Joe but why not have a go?
Roy has spent much of his career taunting fighters in the ring who are clearly out of their depth.

As for the "dry humping", Hopkins deserved to be treated with no respect after the appauling way he conducted himself in that fight.

Its a shame people aren't giving Joe that much kudos for beating Jones though.
Remember before the fight a LOT of people were predicting Roy might turn back the clock and cause an upset!

Showboating against a fighter with a five year 3-3 record coming into the fight is a bit pathetic to be honest.

 

We can all prance around a toothless, clawless old Bear cant we? instead of wrestling the real deal.

Joe looked like a gimp, waggling his ass and gurning.

Naz used to do it fantastically and for a reason, he would get inside their minds. Then he would usually bang them out in style.

I dont think he punches right at all
I dont the volume against quality scoring around at the minute one on the chin is worth twice as much as 6 on the guard IMO.
I all ways thought the inside of the glove dident score thats why I though Jones vs Joe C was pretty close untill he got cut.
The show boating looks crap imo less posing and more fighting
