Does Calzaghe deliver punches correctly and look cool when he showboats?

Yes- He delivers his punches perfectly and is technically sound as he let his salvos of punches go and he makes me laugh when he showboats Sugar Ray Leonard style. He's so cool.

No- After all these years of boxing he can't deliver punches with the correct part of the glove and when he tries to showboat he looks a complete **** and makes me cinge, I wish he's save those moves for his 'personal time'.

he was punching pretty good last night.. with the extra weight.. i dont like his showboating though, he looks like a spoiled little girl having a tantrum, he should have stamped his feet aswell, and bit his tongue.. RJJ was getting embarrassed for him

I was screaming at him to cut out the showboating stuff last night. An early stoppage of RJJ was within his reach and would have meant more than all the showboating in the world.

Should that not be God Help America? Of course Joe C hits cleanly and they hurt - look at who he's defeated. Silly thread if you ask me. I mean why did Hopkins resort to such negative tactics - he knew he couldn't trade and that he didn't want to take too many - he did and they hurt!

Showboating aside, why not talk about his chin and his heart? I'm not really a fan, but his will to win is impressive and, as has been said, he finds ways to win. Kelly Pavlik for one should take note.

I must admit i often wondered how fighters havent capitalised on his mistakes as he seems to make alot.

Having said that he IS doing something right. His awkwardness along with his boxing brain and adaptability are his assets.

When he boxes in a disciplined manner he looks excellent... ***** slaps aside..... When he's too in control and starts doing the gay stuff he looks poor. His biggest asset i'd say is his fitness... incredible.
