if standing in front of someone and eating punches makes you worthy of a rematch, then Wlad-Wach II is a must happen fight
Well FMJ's gunna have to defend his 154 belts now right? Who else would be a better fight at 154 than Canelo now? I'd like to see FMJ fight Amir Khan at 147, but he's the 154 lb champ so I would think a rematch would make sense.
Unless a rematch is sanctioned this epic back and forth bout will be argued over in bars and pubs for years. There will never be any closure without a rematch. The fight was so close infact that sanctioning bodies should get together and rule a n/c, order an I M M E D I A T E return to find out who is "the one".
a rematch only makes sense if the fight was competetive, last night's wasn't even remotely competetive, only by fighting Khan or Pac will Floyd have a chance the sell a decent PPV event , but on the other guys like Lara or Delvin Rodriguez at 154 aren't going to sell many PPV's if he choses to keep the belts
Where's the "nope" option? Alvarez showed to be worst than a wasted Cotto, and by far. Maybe he should start fighting someone worth, and develope some kind of skill, before even thinking about a rematch.
Better yet, the NSAC will demand Canelo use steroids and amphetamines and come in at a catch weight of 200 pounds. The, no one can claim he's been weight drained.
Exactly my point. FMJ is all about the money. The best money fight at 154 is still Canelo. Who else is there at 154? Do you expect him to keep the 154 belts? He's supposed to be the unified 154 champ now right, even though the fight was contested at 152. (this is what cracks me up about FMJ) Is he even gunna defend these titles? the Gold title? lmao
He is still a title holder at 147 lbs, so he can move back down and defend his titles at that weight.
Right, but with 4 fights remaining on his Showtime contract, you would think with multiple 154 belts, he would have to defend those 154 titles at least once, possibly twice.
