yes. he needs to get off first and punch in combinations when he has floyd against the ropes. it all depends on how well he deals with floyds pot shoting points machine and how well he can hold floyd stationary for his combos.
i think that making sure he jabs hard, right when floyd even looks like hes thinking about pot shoting, will keep floyds flashy rights from too much scoring. floyd only has a 1" reach advantage and if you get off first, you will probably score as often as he does.
if he can trap floyd long enough to throw 4 or 5 punch combos, he can score and force floyd to fight. this is the only thing that i dont know if canelo can pull off... i dont know if he has the legs to stay near floyd when floyd dont want to be near.

Fighters that do have a chance of beating Mayweather don't get a chance to fight him, period. At this point in FMJ career every fight that is signed, is a fight won by mismatch. If you have not figure this out by now then... YDKSAB.

He has, as long as he doesnt go out there and try to counter/out think Floyd, he should stick to what he does well which is throw sharp crisp combinations to the head and body, the worst thing he can do is let his punch output drop to Floyds pace, keep the workrate high & make Floyd uncomfortable, one thing about Canelo is he has excellent patience so he may wait for that oppurtunity & explode, like he did with Trout

Keep the workrate high? He doesn't really have a high workrate to begin with.

He needs to have a great plan to fight him. If he fights like he did against Trout then he has no chance.

I mean keep the workrate consistant for himself, Canelo doesnt throw 100 punches a round but he does get off.. His workrate was lowest in the Trout fight.
He cant stand there and allow Floyd to 'pot shot' & he cant run in looking for a single shot like Guerrero was doing.

Better than anyone fighting in the 140-154 range, other than Trout. Who he beat to get this shot.

Yes, but Mayweather (Void) owns Vegas, so Alvarez will have to stop him to get a draw.

So what you're basically saying is all Mayweather has to do is stay on his feet, shoulder roll here and there, throw a few punches and he's guaranteed to win a decision in Vegas?

No because he will not be at his best weight, he'll be weight drained and not hydrated.
