Callum busts Eubank up on the end of a jab and beats him from pillar to post. But to give Eubank credit he doesnt have many miles on the clock and is durable so will last the full 12.

Callum wins via wide UD.

 

Trust me Eubank has a chance there.

With his punch output and speed he has a real chance. He also has a way better chin and far more resilience than Groves.

Smith’s win was good last night no doubt but I had Groves 5-1 up at the time and also, Callum eeked past Skoglund and was made to look ordinary against kickboxer Holzken.

Anytime Jr fights, there's always several threads made about him and ridiculous comments flying in such as 'he's British level'. I think it's people trying to comfort themselves as they know he is a real talent.

 

It’s laughable. He lost to Groves but almost stopped him in the final round. He lost by SD to Saunders in a fight that I and many others scored even. The excuse the Eubank haters like to peddle out is that Saunders was unfit but Eubank literally fannied around in the ring for six rounds before fighting.

“British level” yet rendered the former British champion comatose and ended Doran’s career.

Eubank has never been completely outclassed (outboxed yes) and has never been stopped or even properly floored (momentarily touched the ground against Groves) yet people have Callum Smith down to stop him.

 

I can't see Eubank getting inside to work, lunging will see him getting jabbed to pieces and Smith is probably stronger anyway so could see him getting the better of the exchanges there, Jnr's best chance of a belt is De Gale and then maybe a decent money unification fight. Considering most people thought he wouldn't do anything at all to win British and a version of the World title would be a decent career - and he might still prove a few people wrong yet - but I think Smith is all wrong for him. Too much height and reach.

 

The reason you didn't get too see if Eubank had developed his jab is because simply put he hasn't.

It was actually hilarious watching him get out jabbed and out boxed at times in the fight he still can't judge the distance and resorts to his usual diving in head first and swing like a windmill he hasn't learned anything.
