yeah it does and John can win. Gamboa is vaunerable which makes him one of my favorite fighters to watch and John deserves the payday.

I agree John gets too much love and also too many "Hes underrated" comments.. Bottom line is im sure he could have had some ibig fights if he wanted..... The guy defends his title against opponents that no one ranks but the WBA.;; Obviously hses a talented boxer to get a win (controversial) over Marquez... But that was like 20 years ago!.. Since then his best opponent was Rocky Juarez whom he drew with the first time(although many thought John won) ... I wasnt really impressed in thsoe fights... He doesnt he cant punch and hes boring,.. . I think he gets to much props, for guy that takes no risks...

It's been five years since Marquez...not really close to 20. "although many thought he won" Almost every human being who has eyes and has watched the fight knows he should've gotten the nod and he was past his best by then at that.

Yes, John can win, but look out for the criminal judges, they are well known to be crooked!

I also agree. Chris John is a quality fighter, but he hasn't exactly shown much in recent years. I mean this dude, fought Rocky Juarez on virtually even terms (I had the fight a draw or at best 7-5 John), then was nearly knocked out by him in the last round of their rematch. More recently he has a competitive (but clear) decision win over a fighter who lost virtually every second of every round against Celestino Caballero. For someone so highly regarded, you would think fighters like Juarez and Yordan are where John would shine the most, but that hasn't been the case. He looked very ordinary in all three of those matches. Take away the fortuitous decision over Juan Manuel Marquez, and there isn't much to warrant the praise John gets.

Gamboa doesnt need to go Indonesia, out of the question.
and John is reluctant to come to USA...
so john will keep fighting thais and malasians and Gamboa will keep fighting the best in the western hemisphere

IMO it would look pretty much like Gamboa vs Solis. John is good but not good enough. Too much of speed and power difference. Gamboa would break him quickly.

Has Gamboa face some one with a great jab? I feel that's the approach John will take.
