You never know, Cotto still was able to win at least 4 rounds against Manny, maybe if he wasn't drained, he would have been better conditioned to ride out that storm and take those shots, I still don't understand why the catch weight in the first place, since he fought ODH at 147

It cant discredit it, Pac just whooped his ass that night. Does make you think the fight would of went differently if it wasnt at a catchweight. Maybe the fight would be closer, but anyway you slice it Pac beats Cotto

Strictly by the eye-test, the Cotto that fought Pacquiao looked stronger, fresher, faster than the past it plodding version that Floyd fought.

With my new found respect for Cotto the Manny fight has me feeling a certian type of way the cards were stacked in Manny's favor, he didnt have his trainer, had to agree to an unnecessary catchweight being that Manny showed he was already dominate at 147, it is what it is though.............

You mean, instead of it being at 145, it could have went differently at 147?

    :huh

Or are you talking about 154?

154 would have probably favoured Cotto more because Manny himself would have needed to put weight on (maybe slowing himself down in the process) and not being as destructive with his speed. But, if he still had Santiago in his corner, Manny still would have beaten him up. Because that's what the main problem was for Cotto - his strategy.

Manny still gets credit for dominating Oscar like none other, just like Mayweather with Mosley despite age, Why was 147 good for ODH but not for Cotto or was their a 145 catchweight for that fight also, just saying.

That's another thing so many are overlooking. You only need to compare the tapes of Cotto at 154 to the ones at 147 (including the Pac fight) to see the difference in speed and sharpness. Physically (in terms of punching power, handspeed, etc), Cotto was at his most destructive.
