It's refreshing to come across a real fan of the sport these days on ESB. Good post and pretty much my thoughts exactly.

Because he has **** defense is one handed has short arms average hand speed bad stamina busts up too easily and fights dumb at times. He will be picked apart by PBF no matter what he does. If he tries to come at PBF he will get countered and beat to the punch all night if he tries to box PBF takes his left hook away and he gets schooled by a superior boxer. PBF is better than Cotto in every department. PBF will be a big favorite in this fight and rightfully so. BTW PBF was caught by Mosley because he threw an feint followed by an overhand right with great hand speed and power. Cotto doesn't have the speed to pull it off not only that Cotto is a southpaw he lacks that punch in his arsenal.

He has the best shot of all those available, and he don't realistically have much of a chance at that. May 5th was a tough date for Floyd to please the fans with an opponent

I agree with your breakdown, and I also believe Mayweather will win. But not as easily as you have it. But I still believe Cotto has the ability to buzz Mayweather. I give Floyd full respect for taking this fight @ 154 and really was the best possible fight outside of Pac he could make at this time.

If Cotto tries coming foward he will be sharp shotted, countered, and pummeled with Floyd counter shots. He won't see the distance.

If Cotto tries to "box" he will be exposed badly, gassed out by round 5 and be embarrassed.

Cotto stamina and slow hand speed will apparent from the get go.

Floyd will walk him down and stop him.

That's about as much of a chance he has.

The only one who can and would beat Floyd is Sexy Sergio...

I think it will be a better fight than people are suggesting here. Mayweather fights nothing like Pac. People are forgetting that cotto has a pretty good jab, he just fought the wrong fight with Pac and margo 1 we all know. Styles make fights and this will be a decent one, you all wait and see. I expect mayweather to beat him, no question, but i dont think it will be so easy.

Cotto aint rugged enough to beat Floyd anymore. Ever since the Mosley fight he thinks he's a cutie. He don't bang anymore. Mayweather is gonna be the one walking him down. He's also more of a businessman first, fighter second nowadays.

And I expect Mayweathers underated toughness to be the difference. With that said, Cotto by body shot KO. :happy

Appyling a more diplomatic approach towards the possible outcomes always helps ease the pain of the final result, especially when your a fan of both fighters. Styles make fights and watching these two for the last 10-15 years makes me believe the battle will contain a lot more back and forth than most would presume. There are some old school guys that think along the same lines, ponder a bit more when predicting the way the action will play out....those old school guys are still in this forum, (sprinkled around)

I never believed Ortiz had more power than Cotto.

Also take in account Floyd has only fought 4 rounds in 2 years.
