watch round11 of clottey fight and watch the last 30seconds of round 12 against paul williams, they clearly showed they can hurt him

Dont forget cotto is much smaller then williams, margo and clottey. Hes got a small frame, his power comes from his technique, and you saw its not that effective against a big welterweight like margo. Even though his chin is very solid, but i would assume Cotto wouldnt put down most of the upper echelon welters. He did fight relatively smaller guys since coming to welter. Zab has always been chinny at welter, Shane took his shots well, and gomez doesnt count cause he sucks.

Yeah they stunned him, what I mean is like serious wobbly and almost ready to go down. That's what I mean when I say seriously hurt.

Cotto apparently cant punch or take a shot, I wonder how he has the record he has and how he went 11 with Margo surely if he was as weak as many are claiming Alphonso Gomez who hit the deck off a jab and was getting crucified and claims Cotto doesnt hit hard would have beat his ass. Cotto has a decent punch. Guy has broken bones with his shots and he cant punch, total bull****.

He can defintely punch effectively, and has the power and persistence to get mid to late round stoppages against a good portion of the WW division. But compared to Williams or Margarito I'd say his hands arent as heavy.

he wouldnt be able to hurt clottey, margarito, williams who all seem super strong for welterweights, apart from that he has the goods to take any other welterweight out of there including mayweather

Have you guys forgotten what cotto did before margo?

    TKO 6 Kelson Pinto

    TKO 6 Randall Bailey

    TKO 5 Demarcus Corley

    TKO 7 Ricardo Torres

    RTD 5 Carlos Quintana

    TKO 11 Zab Judah

Ricardo Torres was undefeated going into cotto fight and has since had impressive showings vs Kendall Holt...

Pinto's only KO loss in his career was to cotto.

Demarcus Corley's first KO loss was to cotto.

Quintana was undefeated and coming off a HUGE win vs joel julio and got KO'd by cotto.

Cotto is arguably the first person to KO judah.

It's not a coincidence Gomez hasn't fought in 6 months since his beating in April.

I couldn't agree more. Clottey is very acurate and kept margo off him for much of the fight. However, this is not the same as "stunning" him as many people claim. Cotto landed the same kind of shots that stopped Margarito in his tracks at times, but neither were able to "stun" him as I already knew they were both incapable of hurting him. Clottey also went the distance against that colombian that angulo recently blitzed, and a couple of other espn caliber fighters recently.

The only single shot punch at welter weight that are heavier than Cotto's is Cintron and maybe margarito( that uppercut is bad!)
