    1 - Floyd Mayweather
    2 - Roman Gonzalez
    3 - Manny Pacquiao
    4 - Wladimir Klitschko
    5 - Timothy Bradley
    6 - Guillermo Rigondeaux
    7 - Juan Francisco Estrada
    8 - Sergey Kovalev
    9 - Gennady Golovkin
    10-Naoya Inoue

I resisted placing him when he beat Martinez because of Martinez's condition, but he is lineal at MW and however much we think GGG might butcher him, this is the p4p list - and Cotto is a former 140lb titlist who sits upon the MW throne. That's a p4p achievement.

Would he make your list? What number?

    Probably something like..

    1. Floyd Mayweather Jr.
    2. Guillermo Rigondeaux
    3. Wladimir Klitschko
    4. Roman Gonzalez
    5. Manny Pacquiao
    6. Sergey Kovalev
    7. Gennady Golovkin
    8. Juan Francisco Estrada
    9. Miguel Cotto
    10. Tim Bradley

Could be swayed on some of them though. And of course once Andre Ward fights Smith and dismantles him i'd probably slot him top 3.

Fair enough - beating Smith gets nobody anywhere near my ten though. He needs to beat somebody reasonable IMO. High high on Rigondeaux boy. He is absolutely superb.

I wouldn't rank Ward for a win over Smith but would rank him for simply re-establishing himself as an active fighter. Like how many slated Mayweather #2 after beating JMM and Ortiz after layoffs.

Sure, but JMM was p4p (whatever else was going on) and even Ortiz was regarded more highly than Smith. Smith, famously, isn't even the best SMW in his family. Even if Ward KO's him in fifteen seconds, I wouldn't place him in the ten. But to each his own and Ward certainly is going to reclaim a top 3 spot at some point, unless we all get a big surprise.

Sorry but Cotto's most meaningful win since the Margarito destruction is Josh Clottey a fight something Cotto actually lost. He's not P4P top 30

Explain how you rank Golovkin then?

Not top 10 but still far ahead of Cotto. GGG's wins over Geale and Murray are certainly better than anything Cotto's done since getting bashed by Margarito.

    In no order:

    Inoue
    Klitschko
    Mayweather
    Gonzalez
    Rigo
    Estrada
    Mares
    Huck
    Kovalev
    Pacquiao
    Bradley
    Adonis
    Crawford
    Yamanaka

All have much better resumes than GGG and to me P4P is 90% resume 10% current form.

He should be in the region of 10-15.

Well, most people believe Martinez wasn't a great win, the achievement and going up there was, but Martinez would have been destroyed by anyone competent that night, the Geale win is impressive, the weight is a footnote but he wasn't a walking skeleton or anything.
