I haven't seen a real post fight interview except people saying he thought he won the fight from a spanish interviewer. Can someone link and translate because I really want a post fight interview from him on his thoughts of the fight. Although I hope he doesn't think he won because Mayweather was the CLEAR winner here.
As a big cotto fan the MOST I can give is a draw due to a few close rounds and may win by 2-3 rounds IMO would be interesting to see the reasons from cotto
He knows he gave it all and it was much better than he expected but I don't think he's making an effort to look at it from another perspective.
I don't think he really believes he won. BBC showed him in his locker room and the man looked desvestated when he sat down. He knows he lost and when he looks in the mirror today, he'll really re evaluate his position.
Why not? Brandon Rios said he thought he won. Paul Williams said he thought he won. Pretty much every fighter will tell you they won. Doesn't matter how clearly they lost. I don't see the big deal for Cotto to say he thought he won. He was competitive for a few rounds.
Exactly, Bama. That's just how fighters are. They are very prideful. Try won't admit defeat in an interview in front of millions of people. Plus, they were jay in a fight, fighters aren't thinking clearly. A couple of wires are loose. It shouldn't be a big deal if a losing fighter thinks he won.
Cotto won 4 round tops, 3 on my card. I don't even care about post fight comments since both had plenty to say in the ring, and gave us a nice fight earning them another biggie, I am satisfied and all the whiners (talking about fans) can go **** themselves.
cotto twittered saying that he resepcts the judges scores but doesnt agree.. i want a post fight interview explaining if that means he thought he won the fight or if he thought it was a closer fight.
well he probably let his family change his mind. If you think about it melissa thought he was winning judging from the way she was cheering to the camera. He worked his hardest this camp it showed, the whole fight he gave it all he could, showed he had alot of heart by pushing the gas peddle the whole night.
