Its not a good idea for Cotto to clinch because that means staying close to Margarito. Cotto cannot fight Margarito in a closeup match. His best chances are at a distance.

He not only walks right into his jab but the bad part for Cotto is that he also walks right through his jab. I dont think Cotto ever hurt Margarito. The jab was just pushing Margo back.

I believed in Cotto before the fight, believed that he was exceptional, and i still believe that until im proved wrong i believe that he will accomplish what he strives for which is revenge...

There's nothing that Cotto can do differently to get him the win. He fought the best gameplan, moving and countering, but he hasn't the reach to stay far enough away, the speed to dodge in and out, or the power to slow Margarito. Slowly, Margarito is going to beat him up like last time. If Cotto makes it to the end it'd be a miracle.

Just do what he did in the 1st fight but this time make sure that nose doesnt get as busted up as last time coz once he struggled to breath he struggled to fight.

Better defense. Endurance to fight 2160 seconds. He does that (it's possible with proper conditioning/training), he will win the rematch IMO.

Does Cotto stand a chance??? Maybe he should ask Cintron and see what Cintron has to say.

Could it be that simple? He started to swallow blood early in the bout. That has to slow a mofo down after 10 or 15 minutes of hectic exertion...

Regardless, Cotto is a popular fighter and there are any number of fights he could take, any number of career paths he could choose, that would reward him financially if that was his primary intent. Notice how deliberately he does everything in and out of the ring. I would guess that this is not a hotheaded, emotional decision. After careful, meticulous analysis, Miguel and his team must have concluded that there was a reasonable chance for a victory in the return bout. What is it that they saw? What weakness or tendency of Margarito do they hope to exploit? Maybe it's something simple like the swallowing blood thing. Maybe they've hatched some Machevellian scheme. They know and I don't. Fine. Don't tell me about the labor pains, just show me the baby!!

Possible but not probbable. The biggest issue for Cotto is that Margarito broke him down, how many boxers can win a remach if they were brutalized like cotto was, not many.
