Margarito has also said things about this fight like "This is my most important fight but it's not my hardest one."

Both guys are motivated and confident.

No, Cotto is underestimating Margo far less than Margo is underestimating him.

But then why would Margarito say in the same breath that Cotto isn't his hardest fight? Grant it, he does realize that Cotto is his most important fight of his career but it seems as if HE is the one underestimating Cotto going into this fight. I do not doubt his hunger, but it is statement like that which make me think he is too confident. As for Cotto viewing this as another fight, his personality is too stoic and does not talk to much as to give away his perception of the fight. He does his talking in the ring, as a fighter should do.

In all honesty it is just another fight.
If it was Sugar Ray Robinson standing there across from him.
it would just be another fight. (And his next fight will be one more fight)

To imply that he didn't train, or is taking Margo serious...
No chance in Hell, This fight should have -0- excusses

Nah, I doubt he is. I think he knows what he's going to be in there against and he'll be full prepared come fight night. Though Margo is probably the hungrier of the two, but that's to be expected.

Cotto wins this... it is just another fight, every fight is just another fight.
Whatever he's done thus far has worked perfectly fine... why would he look at this fight differently? He shouldnt, he will not... he will prepare for this fight just like he did for Mosley, perhaps, technically this fight will be different.

And personally, as much as I like Margarito, as much as I loved watching Margarito absolutely derail Kermit Cintron, I feel he's limited, overrated.. and, very flawed. Cotto will win the inside fighting, he will win from the outside, he will win in every area of the fight, and it will show.. Margarito will take a huge amount of punishment.. perhaps even career ending if Cotto steps up his game.

In addition to my post above, I think Cotto's natural personality is one of which he is reserved per the Countdown show. So, it would be expected for him to say such things. This is just one psychological ploy he can use to lower pressure on him to do well and turn all the focus and hype on Margarito.

The countdown definitely lends itself to the idea, they only show Cotto going half speed, and Margarito basically training like an animal.

Cotto is a fighter, his mentality doesn't change from fight to fight.
