Since margarito was found to be a dirty (sack of ****) cheater, tonight...Does cotto's tko loss to marg still have the same meaning?
    For me, not a chance...

Honestly, who the hell can actually look at this guy any other way than a piece of rotten ****...panama lewis....thats about it...

Give cotto his upcoming fight, then the mosley rematch. I see no need to rematch marg vs cotto, as marg is a cheating s.o.b.

Oh...BIG Congrats to shane tonight...The guy looked amazing

Hell no. That's the kind of thing that could **** a guy up for life- the sport's dangerous enough as it is when you play by the rules. I'm ecstatic that Shane took it to him tonight- before I heard about the wraps, I was neutral and just looking forward to a good fight.

There are two sides to each story......HBO's version of it should be taken with a grain of salt as undoubtedly they'd be trying to rebuild Cotto's reputation off of any story related with the wraps.....

Emmanuel Steward made some good points about the wraps.....he said it would not have made any difference for this Mosely fight as it was Mosely's doing of not letting Margarito extend with his shots what made the difference......

......another thing that Steward said is that if indeed Margarito was cheating, where in the hell are the people from the commisions doing there, as they are there to insure that the fighters wrap there hands properly.

This is the same trainer that made a **** about Trinidad's wrappings, and there were trainers from all walks afterward saying that the way Trinidad wrapped his hands were legal.

Just because one trainer says a fighter is doing it illegally, does'nt make it so.
Obviously Mosely's who is Bernards chief trainer is good enough to plant some doubt in the commisions hire hands to make Margarito re-wrap them.

To me, what happened here was the same that happened with Bernard-Tito......a trainer who knows his way with words about wraps.....getting into the fighters head to distract him by making him rewrap his hands.

For Gods sake, they made Margarito re-wrap 3 times......I'm sure he was trying to cheat in all three attempts!

Btw, this victory cements Mosely's legacy in stone.
Full props to Sugar Shane who has actually throughout his career taken on all comers......
When Mayweather and DLH were scared shitless to try their hand at Margarito, Shane stepped up to the plate.

.....no doubt in my mind Shanes victory tonight smashes any crap that it was Balco and not he that beat DLH......

IMO Mosely secures his legacy, and I'd rate him above his other two peers of his generation, Trinidad and DLH.

    For me

    Mosely

    Trinidad

....and DLH finishes below them not having had a defining victory in his career.

Even as a huge cotto fan, thats a tough one for me. A part of me feels that maybe if it wasn't for the illegal handwrapping, the margarito-cotto bout probably would of made it to the 12th round.(Wether cotto still would of lost or not is a different story) I think the rematch IS necessary. Many at the begining said it wasn't because "cotto got his ass whooped...period" but if he cheated to "whoop his ass", i want to see if he can do it again without cheating.

i dont think cotto got his ass whooped...infact, if that fight made it to finish 12, cotto would have won. Marg didnt start hurting him until the very end of the 8th...until then, it was a boxing clinic.

Im not to sure if I would even give margarito a rematch....I mean, why reward his cheating with a pay date?

The media, im sure, will toss the "plaster of paris" around until margarito is deemed a skeezy cheater until the day he dies.....and he should be

If the board of boxing finds the accusations to be proven correct Cotto's loss should be viewed with suspicion and sadly many other wins on Margarito's record.

Terrible for boxing really, one admits steroid abuse and the other accused of wrapping his hands!?.............

Its a tricky question. You can say yes but the damage to Cotto was already done. Who knows if he can recover from that fight. I say the Margo-Cotto rematch should still take place. That way margo can either prove his first win was legit or he loses the way it should had been the first time around.

Let's face it, Margarito's never been known as a great technical fighter. He's been known for being a pressure fighter with very heavy hands. Now we now where they came from.

.....and what does it say about Clottey, who took Margaritos shots as if they were Mosquito bites????

Margarito has'nt been toppling down everyone, which is the reason I believe everyone is getting carried away already condemning him.

Lets remember, Nazim (Mosely's trainer) who asked that Margarito rewrap his hands, used the same language about Felix Trinidads hand wraps potentially hardening like Plaster.......there was nothing but wrap and tape in Trinidad's hands when he was made to rewrap....but Nazim made a big stink that that way Trinidad Sr. wrapped Tito's hands could harden like plaster.

When you wrap your hands, you compress the wrap to have a snug fit......
......have any of you ever seen fighters after a fight have their wraps cut off in the ring????
When they take their gloves off a wrap is revealed thats compressed and looks like plaster.

Nazim used the same wording about plaster for Trinidad vs Hopkins, but nothing but wrap and tape was discovered.

Maybe and right or maybe I'm wrong, but you all should wait and find out the results from the commision investigation before condemning Margarito on the word from basically Mosely's trainer.

There's an article right now over on Btalk that quotes Margarito and his trainer on the issue.......maybe you all should listen to both sides before condemning!
