Does Crawford beat every single one of Canelo’s opponent that he beat?

GGG would probably beat Crawford. Kovalev might be too big. That's about it

 

Like the comment above, GGG likely would’ve beaten Crawford. Also Lara is an interesting one because Crawford has never fought anyone like that, might be a bad style for him.

Lara beat Canelo, but judges were paid off, that fight really weaned Canelo off slick style Black (BIPOC) fighters. Lara v Crawford would be interesting, but Lara would be a unique in Crawford's resume.

GGG clearly beat Canelo twice and would probably stop Crawford, if not clearly outpoint him.

Kovalev v Canelo was a strange fight but clearly one of the worst versions of Kovalev that stepped into the ring. The fact he would not even throw his power jab says a lot about that fight.

Crawford is now being seriously overrated after the fight against Canelo. How many punches were thrown in the fight? Canelo is shot and overrated. The speel about Canelo is akin to the diatribe leaving Trump's mouth. It was another Jake Paul type show. Crawford's real level was shown when Madrimov matched him toe to toe, and probably won.

Crawford is p4p 3, well behind Usyk and Inoue. Most people will disagree because they are not really boxing fans / aficionados.

Why doesn't Crawford fight Janibek at MW to see how good he really is? Because he would get an ass whipping.

He fought in 1 division and never really challenged himself at all. He never fought a boxer anywhere near the level of a Crawford for you to say he would beat him. They aren't even in the same stratosphere as fighters. Bud would pick him apart.

 

Between 2011 and 2015, Golovkin was the most avoided fighter at any weight class bar none; that's why his resume doesn't match up. It's well-documented that nobody wanted to have anything to do with him, including Canelo, which is why he waited so long to fight him. Golovkin would have walked through Crawford like he did Kell Brook.

His ring IQ, jab, footwork, and ATG power mean that no fighter in the history of 160 would've picked him apart. He'd have been competitive against Hagler and Monzon, never mind a blown-up welterweight. Even when he was on the decline he was robbed by the judges against a prime Canelo. Crawford fought a Canelo years past his best, but that's not to say it wasn't a great win.

 

Crawford loses to Kovalev, Golovkin, Jacobs and Lara. He has no business being at 160/168; he just timed Canelo perfectly on the way down and knew his style would be kryptonite for him. A much bigger, slicker southpaw like Lara would be a horrible fight for Crawford; Golovkin would've walked through him, as would Kovalev.

 

Nobody avoided Golovkin... Did Canelo not move up to fight him? Why didn't Golovkin move up and challenge himself against a Ward? Why didn't he move up and challenge himself like all other great fighters have done?

Not only that, Crawford was way more avoided than GGG. He was literally frozen out by Al Haymon and sabotaged by his own promoter. Bob Arum admitted on camera he kept Pacquiao away from Bud.

And did you just compare Kell Brook to Crawford? Bud stopped Kell Brook with a jab in 4 rounds. GGG would walk through Bud like Canelo did right?

GGG never proved any of the things you attribute to him in the ring. You're sounding like a fanboy.

 

Nah, he beats Jacobs and Lara. Jacobs got KTFO by Pirog, Crawford is pfp much better and he finds a way, he's just a superior boxer and he's a small middleweight, but still a middleweight. Lara is the only one out of those 2 with a realistic chance of winning, 60/40 Crawford

 

Yes, I think Crawford has been as equally avoided as GGG; that's why their resumes do not correlate with how good they actually are. Brook was absolutely shot to pieces by the time he fought Bud; he'd had his face caved in twice and been stabbed. Not that any version of him would've beaten Crawford, he wouldn't, but context is important.

Again, Canelo now is not the Canelo he was in the late 2010s. You only need to look at how much his feet had slowed in the Ryder fight compared to GGG 1 and 2 and the Jacobs fight. There are multiple threads on here about fighters who avoided Golovkin, but here are the main ones in a nutshell, which have all been corroborated:

Froch: "He would have been too risky for me." - about a 2014 Wembley Stadium fight. Something he has since doubled down on in retirement.

Felix Sturm - avoided multiple offers, including Golovkin's team saying they would fight him in Germany and take a smaller purse.

Sergio Martinez - Fought Martin Murray instead of Golovkin, then lost to Cotto, who also avoided Golovkin after winning the WBC strap.

You only need to watch Golovkin as an amateur and pro to see just how good his footwork, chin, jab and ring IQ are. Never stopped, dropped, or wobbled in 350 amateur fights (unlike Crawford against Mean Machine and Gamboa), he also convincingly beat Korobov, who smashed Usyk to pieces, and chalked up multiple wins over professional world champions like Andy Lee, Arthur Abraham, and Andre Dirrell.

 

He is P4P better than both, but the size would be too much. Canelo was a strategic masterstroke because he was the same height, with a smaller reach and didn't have the footwork to cut the ring off. Pirog was a very good fighter who would've gone on to have multiple title defences, so it's probably not fair to use that against Jacobs. I'd fancy Lara and Jacobs to beat Crawford, just as I think Janibek probably would as well.

 

Janibek is better than Jacobs. Jacobs is overrated. He would get outboxed and Crawford has the chin to take his power, he is up against a superior switch hitter and a more nuanced fighter. Crawford at 168 is not too small for Jacobs
