His chin seems solid for sure, I've not known him to be wobbled at all. Thurman isn't going to crack it either, I think the dude hits hard but his power is a bit overrated imo.

Garcia was slightly wobbled by Theophane of all fighters.

Early in his career though. Lucas couldn't hurt him. Judah couldn't hurt him. Peterson couldn't hurt him. So I think his legs are fine now. That extra toe is keeping him balanced..

I think Judah MIGHT have buzzed Garcia in the 10th round of their fight but otherwise, Garcia's chin is pure Granite. I think Thurman will box his way to a competitive but clear decision over Garcia.

That's a possibility. But Danny shows up for the big fights, so I think he's going to be the best we've ever seen him in this fight, and rightfully so. Thurman is the toughest fight of his career and I think Danny will pull it off once again! Great fight, and that face off got me even more hyped.

In my opinion he lost something after the brutal war with Matty. Since then he clearly lost 2 fights, though not according to the "professional judges", and only fought bad, mediocre or clearly past it opposition in the other fights he actually won.
I think he'll be outboxed again, and I don't think the judges bail him out this time around.

Like I said before, Garcia shows up in big fights, and I don't think this will be any different. Thurman is a hell of a fighter, don't get me wrong, but Danny is not a pressure fighter like Porter is. He can box and give angles and can crack as well and is probably the best counter puncher Thurman as fought right now. It's 50/50 imo, but I'm a swift fan and riding with him all the way, win lose or draw. I just hope if he wins, he gets the credit he deserves.

He has a good chin but isn't that good a fighter at 147 lb - Herrera beat him but was robbed.

Why isn't he a good fighter at 147 in your eyes? I thought Garcia beat Herrera 7-5 and beat Peterson the same. He only fought Guerrero and Vargas at 147, right? I mean he's only fought 3 times at WW, a CW against Paterson, A Full fledged WW fight against Guerrero and A superfight against Thurman next, so who hasn't he looked good at WW against in your opinion? Malignaggi? Garcia chose these fights to prepare him for the best guy in the division at this moment imo, and is risking it all for a shot to be called the best at 147 and in the world. He deserves every bit of credit.

I'll be honest, I tend to dislike fighters who get decisions I don't think they deserved. I scored the Herrera fight 8-4 Herrera; an awful lot of the boxing world had similar scores so Garcia clearly got lucky at the least.

    His 3 WW fights were:
Peterson: struggled a lot more than I thought he would
Guerrero: won fairly but not impressively (Thurman won much more easily imo)
Vargas: best performance of the lot but Vargas isn't particularly good

Regardless, if he beats Thurman he gets full credit from me. Actually, he'll get some credit just for taking the fight.

Danny has a fine resume at the lower weights, and looked good until the Herrera fight, but after that .... I just don't see much in Garcia's latest exploits that impresses me or convinces me that he beats Thurman.

Good man bro! This fight will have people split, it is what it is. I just hope if Garcia wins everybody gives him credit. But I have a feeling most like when he fought lucas, won't give him credit regardless?

He's had some gimmies but still has one of the best resumes in boxing. I think he finds a way to win vs Thurman

Judah puts him on chicken legs, as does Lucas more than once.
But he's got good instincts when hurt and can box off the back foot better than MOST of us knew going into the Lucas fight.

Hererra was close, so he gets the benefit of the doubt in a fight he probably shoulda lost. STILL....nothing special on a CV.
Peterson however, beat the breaks off him for the first 5 rds off the back foot making him look foolish, then turned it on 8-12 and backed him up and out slugged him.
I had that no less than 9-3 for Peterson, gifting Danny every close rd.
