Hall of fame is actually more legit than I thought.. I checked the list in the past 4 years. Only names that don't really belong lately are boom boom, arguably Winky(don't get me wrong Winky had some solid wins but I just wouldn't put him on the level of the rest), and Tapia(I know Tapia was a fan favorite but I just don't think he was on the rest of the HOF guys level). I don't know much about Pintor/Zapata's era to know if they belong. Vitali, Morales, Holyfield, Barrera, Camacho, Bowe, Trinidad, Dela Hoya, and Calzaghe are the rest, and they are very elite fighters. Jacobs has the cancer story so he could make it off that. Off resume, he doesn't belong there with the guys I mentioned that deserved to be there.
Nah, Wright was his eras boogeyman. No one wanted him and then Mosley stepped up and put him on the map. He’s HOF.
No, Hell no! Jacobs was almost beaten by a jr. middleweight that was unknown, was hit a lot, good thing his opponent had zero power!
Nope. At the moment it’s a definite no and I can’t see what he can possibly do to get in to be honest.
It's easy to see what he would have to do, just hard to see him doing it! If he beat the GGG/Canelo winner, unified / defended against a few of the best (e.g. Saunders, Charlo, Derevyanchenko), and then moved up to 168lb and cleaned it out, he's in. As of now, not even close IMHO. Cancer story helps a bit but not enough.
anyone can enter the hall of fame depending how their career goes. He’s got plenty of time left so it isn’t really the time to judge although I would say he’s probably a HOF already. Not for being an ATG but his back story is remarkable and to come back and reach the very top he’s already a hero.
That’s what I meant, I can’t see him beating Golovkin, Canelo or Saunders, none of them have him on their to-do lists, then he has to have decent title defenses etc. A bit unrealistic and I just don’t see him doing all that.
