Did he ever have anything to begin with? He beat a TOTALLY finished Mike Tyson. Other than that what has he done? He beat that other British Bum Fraudly Harrison? Gimme a break!...than again, this is the same idiot that wrote a thread yesterday talking about how supremely talented Clinton Woods is and that he had no business losing to Tarver. You British fans are loyal to your fighters, I'll give you that, but also delusional...

He never was a top guy,his victory with Tyson was a mistake,a fluke if Mike's knee would have been ok it would have been murder.Williams looked bad in his last fight altough I was happy when he overcame the odds with Airich.Don't see him becoming champion

He's easily the most talented of the British heavies, bar Haye of course unless he flops spectacularly, and he's achieved a lot more than the others aswell but he does get a bit over-rated.

I mean the guy is an absolute warrior and I have a lot of respect for him in that regard, but he was never a world beater in the first place. If he gets into shape though and get's proper people in his corner instead of a bunch of 'yes' men he could potentially capture a European title.

Danny Williams is one of the bravest guys i've seen. You're not going to find a HW fighter with more heart.

And beating Tyson isn't his only claim. He's got some good victories over Harrison, Potter, Grammer, Skelton, Meehan, Sprott.

On a good day, he is easily a top ten fighter, IMO. But at this point he might not have much left.

If you ranked people for sheer heart and bravery then Danny would be P4P no.1

thrush talking **** again . marvin hagler rated williams extremely highly earlier in his career, he hasn't fulfilled his potential but he's had a good career, which you obviously know **** all about.

    so why comment ?

He has the heart of a lion but has little mental strength. He is one of our best HWs.

If anyone saw the John McDermott fight you can see that he doesn't have it in him anymore

He has enough left to win the EU title alright but not the EBU.
World titles can't even be considered really, Danny seems to have slipped quite a bit.

Hopefully he can make some decent money with the fights he has left.

Other than the Tyson win he has beaten Kali Meehan, Oleg Platov(but we know what happened there), Matt Skelton, Audley Harrison, Michael Sprott(x2).

Many that haven't seen the early part of his career may right him off as a never was, but Williams actually did have the talent to be a genuine World Class fighter. He showed glimpses of what he could do against Meehan and Robinson. In his first few fights he was a skinny fleet footed skillful fighter, showing bags of ability. In retrospect he was actually quite a waste of talent.

At the same time he provided as much entertainment as probably any British Heavyweight ever. I just wished he never got into the idea of coming in heavy so he could absorb punishment. He's only been in proper shape once since the Tyson fight(I'm aware he has gone lighter on a few occasions though).

What has Danny Williams left ?, Power, loads of heart, and probably a good bit of entertainment too.

How old is he now, he's gotta be cracking on.

edit - he's 35 (not that old for a heavy) - I thought he would be about 38/39.
