Does Darren Barker deserve another title shot?

I agree, but allot of good fighters turned the Barker fight down. Lee Prozska, Taylor, Vera, Dzinzuiruk.

 

If you look at the quality of his wins, no he hasn't earned a shot. But, unfortunately, since when did that matter in boxing?

 

Maybe, maybe not. all that aside he has a good opportunity to wrangle the belt off Geale and is talented enough to do so.

 

Darren is all bark and no bite, Gealey is gonna teach him some new tricks!

 

His record lacks names but he has struggled with injuries(macklin) or getting matched (Chavez,lee etc) so this fight tells us more

I hope he delivers on his promise but I also think geale is a more complete fighter

 

Does he deserve it based on recent resume / lack of activity? No.

Is he a clear top 10 middleweight in the world? Yes, and on that basis I think it's perfectly justifiable.

In the dreamland of one man being champ in the division he'd be down the pecking order, with 4 different champs though it's good to see top 10 fights being made, it just so happens one of the protagonists has a piece of the alphabet pie.
