He lost and he lost clearly but he gave wlad his best fight in many a year.he took some bombs off wlad and his chin withstood them.
Wlads hit and hold is illegal for one but almost impossible to penetrate when you are at such a height disadvantage,I didn't think haye did too bad to be honest albeit the mention of his toe didn't help

Neither of them covered themselves in glory with that fight. It was the biggest fight at heavyweight since Lewis/Tyson in terms of appeal to casual fans and what we got was a stinker with a champion who refused to engage and a challenger who couldn't engage.

that was a ****ing **** fight. haye said all this talk in the prefight buildup about how he had something special planned for wlad.. and all it turned out to be was to go straight to his knees and attempt to perform ******** on him whenever vlad jumped on him close range

That's my point,it wasn't haye refusing to engage it was his inability to due to wlads illegal style of fighting which he gets away with every fight.ppl slag haye for his preflight antics but all he was doing was infuriating wlad as much as possible to try to get him to engage, but as much as he did that preflight wlad still refused then gets plaudits for it after the fight whereas haye gets slated

no its the way he carried himself to the lead up to fight and failing to deliver what he said he would do that people **** on him for

The way he carried himself before the fight was obviously in a manner to **** wlad off,to get him to engage, wlad flat out refused to engage which lead to the fight panning out the way it did.haye wasn't falling on his **** out of coincidence,it was the fact he had to lunge in to attack as anyone who gets anywhere near punching distance with wlad gets clinched

No, it's because of the way he lost after running his mouth for 3 years.

Had he gone all out, trying to get the KO and being flattened inside a couple of rounds he would have gotten a lot more respect as he does now. Instead he ran, flopped and tried to get lucky with a single counter or some ridiculous DQ verdict. Just like the Valuev fight in wich he ran for dear life too, in a way people had predicted you wouldn't get the decision, but he got lucky.

And then the toe thing that was just really, really sad...

He ****ed off wlad in dressing room before the fight making him wait ages, then the toe excuses.....
Pulling out of numerous fights with fury and other fighters,
I'm British but the guy is a joke
He claims he can beat everyone then when a deal is proposed pulls out of it
Is he lost, or missed ? I don't think so

I thought he was entertaining as a fighter, but of s tit as a person like but can't really knock his boxing.
Do you think he was scared of fury ?

To fight like he did after guaranteeing a first round knockout was just pathetic. In reality, he was just happy to last the distance and collect his £10m cheque at the end of the night.

    You can't?

Out of his 4 titlefights at HW he produced 3 stinkers and was largely responsible for all 3 of them.
Against Fraudley he didn't even land a punch for 2 whole rounds!!! Neither guy did and it ended up mantioned here as one of the worst HW titlefights in history. Against Valuev he ran for dear life and nobody forgets the Wlad "fight" in wich after 4 rounds even the loudest Brits present in Hamburg knew they were duped and hoped for a miracle.

3 stinkers in 4 titlefights and you can't knock his boxing? If Wlad would come of with that 75% average the world would be too small.

Wtf did you want from Wlad?
He was the one coming forward all night and backing Haye up.
Outside of swinging wildly which is exactly what Haye wanted and just getting countered.

Also anytime Wlad got close Haye went to his knees and try to perform oral on him.
Even the British commentators stated what Haye had to stop it and he got rightfully docked a point for it.
Haye's performance was pathetic, he just tried to survive vs a guy that was coming at him all night which is exactly what he supposedly wanted.

Wlad fought the only fight he knew he could win. A tentative, no risk , jab pecking fest from the outside. And when Haye got inside he jumped down on his back.

That's all he was capable of doing. Say whatever you wan't about Haye but that fight shows how overrated and limited Wlad is.

No,he deserved all the stick he got. Basically you had two guys who were terrified of getting hit but Wlads physical advantages in that kind of fight was always going to give him the edge.
Haye shouted his mouth off before the fight but when it came to his big moment he wasn't prepared to put it all on the line he was happy just to go the distance, survive and pick up his purse.
You see your true greats like Ali,Frazier,Holmes,Marciano and Holyfield etc. were prepared to die in there,oh but sorry David had a poorly toe.
