    Molina, Duhaupas or Washington didn't look particularly fearful when they bullied Deontay around the ring.

    Yep this. Watch both their fights against Jason Gavern too and you see a difference. Gavern was looking to survive and not get hurt against AJ. Against Wilder even after getting dropped he was taking to him.

    Wilder is just a beanpole and is too much of a goofball too intimidate opponents. AJ is physically far more imposing, some opponents have already surrendered long before stepping into the ring. Martin gave his belt up without much of a fight, Molina looked terrified in there, but of course some come to fight like Takam, Whyte, Breazeale etc.
