What`s so special about him? He doesn`t do anything any other fighter doesn`t do.

Nice footwork? He has active footwork like Usk, in and out always moving keeping his opponent guessing.

Loma is far better than Naz was, his balance is better and he doesn`t leave himself out of position after punching, Haney doesn`t throw faster combo`s than Loma.

It’s just the eye test for me. His lateral movement, timing, defense and overall elusiveness, combined with precision punching, ring IQ, and general craftiness are all exceptional in my opinion. I hate comparing people to Floyd, mainly because so many fighters love to claim they are the next Mayweather, but he really does remind me of a young Floyd in a lot of ways. I know he hasn’t fought any elite guys yet, but I just have a feeling that Haney is way better than most people realize. I could be wrong though because like I said, a lot of this is just based off the eye test and my own intuition.

He doesn`t score lead rights as much as Floyd did at all.

He throws a really good lead hook, which Floyd did a lot in his younger days. When he got older, he started using the lead right more.

Haney is the naturally bigger guy, plus he is younger and very talented. I'm not saying he beats Lomachenko, but he has a decent chance right now. :chuck:

Haney already has the athleticism, speed, and offensive skill. He doesn't yet have the seasoning, in my opinion. I've noticed that Haney doesn't really like pressure and in fighting. I could see Lomachenko pressuring him and causing Haney serious issues.

Campbell was within 10% of Loma. Campbell was edged out in most of the rounds, with a few being clearly in favour of Loma. So he gave a good showing. Point being..if Haney can beat Campbell, then he at least deserves to be in the same ballpark as Loma. That would be an achievement in itself cause Campbell is an amazing fighter.

But personally, I think he's below Campbell right now. He has 138 amateur bouts, so he's got a solid base of experience to build upon. I think Haney should rack up a few more wins against top 20 opponents, and then go for Loma. I don't think he wins but he's got a chance, albeit slim.

I'd prefer to see him fight Loma. Campbell just lost, and had beaten nobody of note, so why shouldn't Haney get the same chance?
