Now? I don’t think Haney has much of a chance to beat Lomachenko. With each passing year though I think his chances get better and better. I think Haney loses today, but will have an edge in a couple years

Like a few others have said

If it happens soon I would lean to Loma, but in the next 2 years?

    I might make it 50-50

Pedraza shared the ring with good boxers and he was an easy fight for Loma after coming back from a serious shoulder surgery. Loma is the last person you should call out for fighting useess opponents, he has 3 poor fighters on his record and all of them were in his first 5 bouts, Loma currently posseses 9 or 10 better wins than anything Haney has done. Haney’s last 5 opponents were ranked 19th, 76th, 66th, currently unranked, 125th, how does that make him worthy of even mentioning Lomas name?

WBC robbed Loma of his belt for absolutely no reason whatsoever and Haney was gifted it undeservedly, Loma will want it back so I guess they will share the ring next year.

Don’t get me wrong, Haney is an amazing boxer but he is too young for Loma, his career might be in danger if he fights him within 3 years.

Yes but I'm not sure it will happen. Haney will be out of the LW division by 2021

At this stage, Haney would be Loma’s easiest victory since moving to 135. Haney is a good raw talent but he’s several levels below Loma in terms of skill and ring IQ. A shutout, no mas, win for Loma would not be surprising. Haney would swing hard at air and eventually get frustrated. I hope to see the fight happen and would expect all of the haters to change their tune and give Loma no credit as usual. Suddenly the guys picking Haney before the fight would ask why Loma chose to beat up a teenager, barely out of diapers, after the beat down.

Campbell and Crolla's claims to fame are being Linares' left overs. Linares got tooled inside a round, after giving Loma all he could handle. Pedraza was Tank's son. Some Loma fans can be pretty ridiculous.

Loma hid in the amateurs accumulating Olympic Gold Medals.

Salido came in pounds overweight and still nearly got KOed but saved by the ref.

Although Haney is a lot bigger I'm not sure he has the power to win this fight, because he won't win a decision against a much more skilled fighter.

I honestly haven't seen that much hype. Maybe a poster or few talking smack, but that's about it.

Mike Tyson was far better at 21 as was Ali.

He`s being compared to Loma and has been gifted the WBC belt without fighting anybody even near the top 10.

Linares lost at the higher weight, the guy he was fighting had a much harder punch than Loma and Tank is something special, Haney isn`t.

Where was Loma at 21? Ali and Tyson comparison apply here as well?

So what? Being gifted belts happens ALL THE TIME with younguns on the rise. I can accept that there are some posters who will over hype him just to bash Loma. But be better than them, I say. Not to mention, a fighter can't control what idiots on message boards or social media say. No need to penalize them.
