Oh, yes it does! (I take it you're not joking) ...would you care to share your insight with us, huki?:hey
I have 15+ fights of his on a dvd and I watched about half of them during my winter break. I'll tell you what, right before his next fight I will make a thread explaining everything overrated about Diaconu, including his "great" mental strength.
Not so sure about what you call « signs of mental weakness ». I would instead call that something close to a « laidback attitude » based on the fact that in his early pro fights, he was often facing guys that didn't want to take the punisment, so he looked pissed and lost focus. But in his latests bouts, actually, since the last two years, Adrian is pulled up by his good friend and sparring partner, Lucian Bute. That is a great boost of motivation for Diaconu, further more, his first chance for a major title is very close, so you can be shure that his trainers will let nothing down as far as physical preparation, nutrition, mental.... As far as the chin goes, the only thing a good shot does to this guy is turn him into a very hungry and dangerous man! A lot of you people will discover a type of fighter witch you can't mess with, a head hunter with skills. Remember that I told you so................................
I have to admit that I haven't watched as many as 16 fights of Diaconu...and I dont have all the others on a DVD...I guess that except for the Montreal contingent and andyzOr, huki is Diaconu's biggest ESB fan!:deal Will you be sporting a Diaconu avatar when he fights Dawson, huki?:think
At the am's you have a headguard, 10oz gloves and the power-element is almost nullified because it's about scoring points. So imo it means a sh*t load if you get ko'd there..
Do you think Lucian Bute has a **** chin? He was KO'ed in the amateurs too! So why couldn't Berrio take him out? Please explain!
I think you should go back to the beginning and read my first post. I never said anything, I asked something mate. :good Anyway you made a good point that makes me think. I guess one perfect shot can take anyone out, solid chin or not, amateurs or pro. For now that is what I can conclude. peace
Again he does'nt have a suspect chin....Dawson is the one who is suppossed to survive those left hooks which won't happen...he will be obliterated
I think its the other way around, since Diaconu is going to get hit more often than Dawson is because of his defense, which is average at best AND that he is much shorter and the slower fighter. You keep talking about Dawson's chin, but don't mention he has more KO's than Diaconu does, and has decent power himself.
It was a while ago so I might be mistaken but I think Diaconu was hurt a little by journeyman Andre Thysse. Maybe someone can confirm this?
Not even close...Diaconu will laugh off those weak ladyboy punches from Dawson...not even an issueatsch
Right, so Dawson hits like a girl but has a higher KO ratio.....so what does that make Diaconu? Reality check. Neither is a devastating puncher, and Diaconu's legend on this board has grown from stopping Hoye, who was also stopped by Clinton Woods who while being a good solid title holder, has very little power.
