I guess if he got a lucky enough punch in, but you could say that about a number of guys.

    Other than that, no.

    Absolutely.

Whyte is the new Danny Williams of British boxing, limited but brave warrior.

He should've lost to Chisora (or it should've been a draw at best)

Chisora was dominated by 40+ y.o. Vitali, destroyed by Haye and completely schooled by Tyson Fury twice.

Whyte is on today's Chisora level, and never will be better than that (that's level of prime Danny Williams).

He's not very skilled, he's quite rough. But you know what, he can take a punch, he seems to be serious about fighting. I'd like him to take a final eliminator, hopefully vs. Stiverne and then get a crack at a belt. He deserves it if he wins an eliminator.

Does he have a chance to take a belt from Parker or Wilder? He'd be the underdog IMO but he has a decent enough chance. IMO 25-35% which is not too bad!

I think both those are winnable fights for Whyte. Whyte throws a lot of punches and has a very good chin, those two things alone will see him do well in the division.

That's the thing with Whyte, his skills aren't the best he gets sloppy and his accuracy can be horrible, but his heart, chin and will to win are pretty much second to none in the division. At HW those attributes can go a long way.

Well of course he can beat a 'world champion' like Charles Martin but that's about it. If Whyte faces Fury, it will be Fury-Chisora 2 all over again.

Fully agree, hope he doesn't get stiffed by promoters or WBC political issues because Don King is involved and probably bribing the WBC in Stiverne's favor. Hope this fight happens, Whyte deserves it and it will probably be fun to watch as both guys pretty much stand toe-to-toe and punch.

If Whyte gets a crack at Deontay they should host it in the UK. I think they could sell out 35/40k seats possibly? Especially if this would lead to a Wilder/Whyte vs. AJ/Wlad unification down the line.

Right now Whyte gets hit too easily, and he'd let Wilder T off on him, wouldn't be pretty (for Whyte). He has to somehow value defense. Just cause you can take punches from the biggest punchers for several rounds doesn't mean you should. Though I guess if casual UK fans want it then Whyte can get knocked out too. Then you'll have to find another one to hype.

I'll add that unlike Chisora, Wilder is a fresh fighter that can throw hard punches for 12 rounds. Whyte isn't winning a decision either.

Would make him a significant underdog against any of the major belt holders.

Whyte hasn't been hyped at all.

If Whyte had some defense then I'd agree with you but everything points to Parker getting by.
