Now that the good paydays are definitely gone for Andre, does he regret blowing a very winnable title fight vs Froch, and getting out of the super six by faking an injury ?

Andre hasn't adapted to the passing years, still using that amateur counterpunching & front running style.

When Degale beat him at his own game, he simply could not find the answer, because that's all he ever knew.

No inside game, no body punches. Just staring at his oponnent and talking to him.

You forgot to mention the Ward-Dirrell fight that was supposed to happen during the Super Six tournament. That was a double duck, a unique phenomenon in boxing. Ward and Dirrell basically had a talk and decided to duck each other so as to possibly meet in the final match.

Dirrell surely regrets that bitсh move.

I can still remember his grandfather warning him to engage more vs Froch: " you're not going to win here the way you box"

I hope he put enough on the side, because the gravy days aren't coming back.

Not a fan of the guy but in no way did he fake that Abraham incident. He was clearly damaged from that punch.

What Abraham did was his own fault, not Dirrell's. Just like Roy Jones Jr's first defeat which was also due to hitting a downed opponent.

Yeah it's crazy people think he faked that. His inactivity after that fight suggests he had issues, whether physically or psychologically.

He showed heart against DeGale by not simply folding after such a bad start and did well to get back into the fight and make it competitive in the 2nd half. But too many idiots will ignore that and just throw around accusations without any basis in reality.

    Good post.

I actually had him winning that fight last night. Even made a thread about it, and IM a Dirrel hater.

That said, I think he's gonna grow from that fight last night. He realized that he doesnt need to always stay outta range to be effective, but needs to stay a little more alert of his opponent. He just loses focus in there, and it appears to have cost him the fight last night.:rofl:rofl:rofl

He came back from a 3 year hiatus, I reckon he can come back from a narrow points defeat. A rematch with DeGale isn't out of the question. Plus the division is hardly stacked is it? Froch and Ward are done, so he still has plenty left to fight for as regards to world titles.

His biggest regret should be him being a p*ssy and pulling out of the of the Super Six. He had a chance at glory and he decided to give it away. He should have fought Ward, doesn't matter if they knew each other.

Degeale will never give him a rematch.
Andre's style is similar to Roy's. Once the youth is gone, it's all downhill from here.
Too late to reinvent himself at 31.

He's relying on athleticism, speed and reflexes.
    His fundamentals are weak.
That's why he got floored twice.
