I see this being brought up as fact in numerous threads (mainly in the GF). I was just wondering if this is confirmed or if its just speculation.

I came across this interview with DK on a site called heinnews (i don't even know if its genuine or completely bogus). i assume i can link this site as its general sports and not just boxing...

there doesn't seem to be any indication of DK having options on haye in this interview, and does seem to suggest that the haye should consider the klits if he gets past ruiz.

TBH with you I thought it was Wilfried Sauerland who had the option of promoting Haye's next three fights.

Strange one this. I asked Adam Booth this very question straight out on the Sunday after the fight.

Rather than outrightly saying it was total shite or laughing it off he was quiet and just shook his head saying "We'll decide who David fights next". The fella was tired, mind.

I'm almost certain the Don has f*ck all to do with it, hence his lies about still having a piece of Ruiz and trying to engineer some WBA interim shite for Kali Meehan.

that sounds more likely. and in the interview it says dk was not involved in the contract.

i dont think he has anything to do with haye like dominic said i think sauerland is more likely to have some sort of agreement with haye...i viewed king being at the haye-valuev fight as a tag along big name to get a few more ppl on ship.

I think I read that while Golden Boy will still be promoting the Haye fights, Sauerland and King will get a small share of the money just like Golden Boy do with Pacquiao.

Haye did something to get a fight for the title when he was not mandatory.

i think that Sauerland and King get a cut of the profits.

What appears to be the situation is that Sauerland has a deal with Haye that gets him a cut of the next three fights. King then has a deal with Sauerland for a % of that cut.

As others are saying, Sauerland received options in the event of Haye winning the fight, but only for financial benefits - as far as I understand. They have no say in Haye's career or in who he fights next.
