...affect his business empire and his future promotional power? I mean, he is no longer seen as a 'winner' after his most dramatic loss and in the States losers are losers right?

I shouldnt imagine so, popularity-wise DLH is like Beckham in England, but with a shitload more sense.

It shouldn't affect his business but I do believe that it will strongly affect any fights that he participates in the ring.

It should. He should never be on PPV again. losing to a top fighter is one thing but losing to someone so much smaller and getting shut out and quit on the stool is another. he is an embrassment.

    not a chance.

oscar was a franchise a long time ago and he has always lost the biggest fights in his career - just not this badly.

it should be a wake up call for his boxing 'career' though.

golden boy is the future of boxing promotions.

No, not at all. He is like any legendary fighter, he gave us one hell of a career and people and history realize when a fighter is done. He will be a future hall of famer, and this fight will be a footnote in history that tells the story of a finished legend ala Tyson/McBride, Tszyu/Hatton, Jones/Calzaghe

I don't think so. With the loss, Oscar may permanently retire from boxing and concentrate on promoting fights which may prove better for his business.

Unfortunately I dont think it does affect his business, he embarassed himself vs Pac & should pay every price possible (especially since I lost money betting on the dick :-() but he`s still rich & money matters most so he will continue to be a success in business - not as a boxer.
