Will he end up like Trinidad ? Once the blueprint was laid out by Dirrell Froch used it maybe Ward will and Abrham could just go on a decline ..Is it to late for him or can someone else step in and fine tune him before his clash wth SOG ??

A trainer can only do so much. But I hear Wegner can be a real dick. Maybe Arthur has outgrown the dynamic of the ******* father figure style of trainer. Maybe he's now in a phase where he needs a cool hippie Uncle style trainer.

I think he does. He only fights one way and I think he's only been trained to fight one way and doesn't deviate from it. He could use some new tutelage and pick up new tactics and strategies. Then again, if he were able to make Middleweight again, he could probably still be a force just the way he is.

Didn't his trainer train Sven Ottke? If that is the case then **** no. You don't become the best fighter in the 100 years without a solid trainer in your corner. Sheesh.

the blueprint for Abraham was laid out before Dirrell or Froch. IMO when I saw the Lujan Simon fight, I saw a clear blueprint.

But he definately needs a new trainer. He could have given Froch a much tougher fight with the right advice.

I mean what really sound instructions did his trainer give him in the Froch fight ..I mean all he could do is lung in ..He was never in a great position to counter punch ..I guess his trainer just relied on Athur's strength.

Trinidad never lost. Until he stepped into weight classes where he never belonged

I think he does need a new trainer. Wegner doesn't look good at all. AA didn't change much from the past years. He's still the same fighter he was few years ago. He needs to change his trainer, come in America and get a real American trainer like Roach. I think he could become a lot better with Roach.

The same goes for Marco Huck. Huck is a limited club fighter that hasn't really improved since Cunningham schooled him, he just got in the right place at the right time to get a belt next time around.

Wegner isn't that great a trainer IMO, despite what some Germans would say.

Yes, marching forward with your guard up throwing occasional bombs doesn't cut it against top fighters, or maybe AA just isn't cut out for SMW.

He has fought the same way all his career.I dont see how a change of trainer is going to really work at this stage. But he may as well,he has nothing to lose by getting a new guy in.I think he should.

Nah he was exposed to being 1 dimensional thats why his losses were so one sided each time .

Look at it this way. A lot of people think Oscar beat Tito. Oscar supposedly was better boxer, with more tools, faster, with better technique. Still, Tito did a better job and lasted longer against BHOP than Oscar did.

    Neither one belonged up there.

And I am not saying Tito wasn't one dimensional. What I am saying is that IN HIS WEIGHT CLASS, Tito didn;t need anything else. He defeated his opponents with pure power.

the fact that his trainer is calling him a coward in public and that his team is allowing him to say he needs to move back down means he needs a new trainer regardless.

abraham has an iron chin and a concrete block for a punch but thats all he's ever had. having said that, many people have been waiting for him to be beaten the way he has based on the way he fights. i'm not sure anyone will be able to fundamentally change him. he just needs to be more active.
