Does ESPN regret wasting money on Fury yet?

I'm merely replying to the lunacy of madman Hayers.

I've mentioned the Fury/Wilder rematch in every post and here I am doing it again:

FURY/WILDER 2 IS SIGNED AND BOTH FIGHTERS ARE POSTING ABOUT IT ALMOST DAILY. For anyone who doesn't know, it's for the WBC heavyweight championship of the world and ring magazine belt.

 

It’s not actually signed though is it? It’s illegal to sign it when a fighter has a fight in place (apparently?).

As a boxing fan I would love nothing more than for this to take place on February 22nd but I have serious doubts. I seriously doubt any announcement for said fight happens before the outcome of Joshua - Ruiz. Wilder v Ruiz for all the belts will be easy to makes and Wilder Joshua makes more money for the Wilder camp than any other fight out there. Then all the other factors like Fury focussing on his show business career and previously turned down a mandatory shot...

Let’s hope it does happen, but...

You before the Wallin fight: ‘I think this will do very, very well. Tyson rising up in the twelfth. Tyson coming in as Apollo Creed. He’s gone viral. He’s the people’s champion. He’s literally unhittable. He’s an icon.’

You during the Wallin fight: ‘Looks very full to me.’

You after it was confirmed Fury Wallin took place in a 21k or so venue and only about a thousand people bought tickets: ‘Nobody could have expected it to do any better.’

Not sure why you’re laughing at the Ritson comparison. His last fight sold a lot more tickets than Fury’s. The thing is, I’m not pretending Ritson is some sort of superstar.

 

Well both sides have threatened the other with legal action ig said fight doesn't take place so something has been signed.

 

The only one of those things I actually said was the Wallin fight looking quite full, which it did. Wasn't there 9000 in the arena? Easily looks full on telly.

Those figures are wrong mate. Just check them online. I mean, you know he’s signed a contract to fight Wilder twice. (No evidence online.) You know how much he’s getting paid. You obviously know a lot of in depth stuff about Fury. Makes it weird when you don’t know we’ll documented figures about his recent (pathetic) ticket sales?

 

So we rate the popularity of a boxer not on how many people want to watch them fight, but whether they’ve been on Good Morning Britain?

 

8,249 was the officially announced attendance. I know many didn't buy their tickets but that's the figure announced.

 

It takes two fighters to make a big fight, Tony. And yes, you have to be pretty bloody famous to appear on good morning britain several times, the Joe Rogan podcast which is the most listened to podcast in the world and WWE which is bloody huge.

Haven't seen Lewis Ritson on any of them

 

Also to add, Christmas single with Robbie Williams, sell out UK tour and about to release first autobiography. Not to mention his wife Paris appearing on Loose Women. Oh.....and 4 part documentary about to air on ITV 'Meet the Fury's' (bet you can't wait for that one Tone.)
