Does Floyd beat people up badly, or is he content outboxing them?

Cotto was beaten to a pulp by Pac and Margarito. He sure as hell remebers it, and he wont be able to go through it a third time. If Floyd put some pain on him, I think he will be very defensive, and of course lose. But if Floyd is on the backfoot and dont really pressure him he will be more active and it will be more competivie.

    Thus the question.

Floyd is a Pure Boxer.. He's content to win on points. He often dominates his opponents on the cards. I find it funny when his fans get carried away and say Mayweather is a monster!:rofl :patsch... It's pure comedic gold!

Floyd realizes Cotto(e) isn't as effective in the Reverse gear. The memo ever since this fight was signed is he'll hold his ground against Cotto(e).

Yes, Mayweather is a safety first fighter. That's why he will never get in the ring with Pacquiao or Martinez.. They pose a threat to Floyds health and his 0! :deal

    Interesting.

I am no expert on either fighter, but I do suspect Cotto(e) will lose heart real fast if he heat is turned on.

Floyd knows Cotto, after the two brutal beatings he's taken, is very vulnerable. Once he starts finding a home for those straight rights and left hooks, he'll have him in retreat mode and reacting horribly to every punch that lands. He won't beat him up in horrific fashion like Marg and Pac. He'll just be more slow and casual with it. More like a beating/outclassing. Akin to the Mosley fight.

your opinion holds no weight bro.

You don't back it with anything...garbage ass opinion which is very easy to expose as weak.

Mayweather is perfectly content to win on the cards. If he went for KO's more consistently, I think he would have even more admirers.

Floyd cares about his 0 and his bank account; he isn't risking either to please the fans.

He does care about his health and his 0 but I think he realizes that to beat cotto he is going to have to hurt cotto (which he can do)

He has one straight up KO in the better part of a decade. Floyd is a lot of things, but a finisher he is not.

It's very hard to get a straight up KO. Anyway, when has he had a fighter in real trouble and failed to finish him? Mayweather isn't a big puncher, but if he gets you in trouble, he's pretty good at finishing.

About a 7 or 8 years ago, I would agree with you. Since he moved up in weight, though, the KO's have gotten scarce.

floyd is a boxer at the purest form my guess is that he likes to out box whoever he is fighting. if the ko comes so be it if not no biggy.
